Der Blaue Engel Der Blaue Engel is the official German environmental mark of approval, similar to the Dutch Milieukeurmerk. It has existed since 1978 and is therefore the oldest environmental mark of approval in the world.

The label Der Blaue Engel on a product indicates that the product is less stress‐ful on the environment on the most important environmental aspects than sim‐ilar products. It is also safe for the consumer. Recycled glass complies to these standards and is he base material of the FAP le. The founda on Der Blaue Engel for environmental approval has regular consul‐ta ons with Der Blaue Engel where criteria are adapted to one another.

EXPANDED GLASS TECHNOLOGIES

Panels and products can be produced in any shape, color and size. From a flat panel to any required relief. Be‐low you can see some examples of the possibili es. The standard panel is available in 600 * 1000 mm. Other sizes are possible.

Recycled glass is turned into glass granules and again bonded with several components.

This sustainable and extremely environmentally friendly applica on and exclusive manufacturing technique makes it possible to produce panels that greatly absorb sounds in almost all frequencies, as well as giving a posi ve impulse on thermic aspects. The products can be manufactured in all shapes and from a completely smooth surface to any relief and in any thickness. The products are fireproof by standard and comply to the strictest requirements as laid down by the GCW 2012. Regarding dynamic pressure and suc on, the panels can also be produced to comply to these set requirements. Should a livery be required, there are a number of possibili es. A surface treatment does not affect the ab‐sorp on abili es of the product

Fireproof and Acous c Panels can be applied in a variety of applica ons. Above is an example of a gabion panel produced from one solid piece. The great advantage of this is, it is lightweight and that this gabion filling really absorbs sound, contrary to the conven onal gabions that do not absorb sound, as well as being heavy. Apart from that, the steel mesh in front of it is obsolete as the FAP gabion panel is produced as one piece
