FogInvestigating Natural Phenomena project
Fog is a collection of liquid water droplets or ice crystals
suspended in the air at or near the Earth's surface.
It begins to form when water vapor condenses into tiny liquid
water droplets in the air.Fog tends to form when a cool,
stable air mass is trapped underneath a warm air mass.
The foggiest place in the world is the Grand
Banks off the island of Newfoundland, the
meeting place of the cold Labrador Current
from the north and the much warmer
Gulf Stream from the south.
Some of the foggiest land areas in the world include Argentia, Newfoundland and Point Reyes, California, each with over 200 foggy
days per year.

Fogs in our Ukraine
In our country we can observe fogs every autumn and spring, less often at summer. The limiting factor of our
region is water, that’s why the positive side of fog phenomena is wet, that goes into soil. It gives better crops and plant growth.
