Our design team work with our clients to provide innovative and costeffective solutions. We can work from any combination of physical parts,drawings and virtually any format of 2D/3D CAD data. Our designerswill utilise the latest 3D modelling software to provide concepts throughto final production drawings. The quality of our work is directly linked toprogramming skills which minimise marking, tearing and rough edges.

As well as being used as a packaging medium, foam is oftenused for many ad hoc purposes such as linings, gaskets, impactprotection, buoyancy, insulation, acoustics, and compositeapplications. B&D Foam are experts at specifying the bestmaterial for the required application and fabricating it intodifferent shapes and sizes to accomodate any such requirement.

As well as ensuring a high degree of protection for the contents, case insertsprovide a professional display solution. Various colour options or two-tonefoam can be utilised to enhance presentation or promote a corporate brand.Logos and text can also be routed or laser engraved into the foam.

Transit case inserts protect delicate or sensitive equipment duringstorage and transportation. Equipment used out in the field canbe protected for its entire lifespan. Foam materials are extremelydurable and easily maintained so provide the perfect solution.

Not only is it essential to protect tools in storage, it is equallyimportant to have a means of controlling their use. Lookingfor the right tool in a drawer full of tools or having to gosearching for a missing tool can result in the loss of valuableproduction time. The solution is a two-tone foam insert. If thetoolkit changes it is also easy to modify the program.

Range of solutions
Due to the high protection and durability of foams, theyprovide the ideal solution for returnable packaging. Ratherthan throw away the packaging after every delivery, ifthe packaging can be sent back for re-use it can offercost as well as environmental benefits. In particular,this methodology aids stock control, batch manufacturing,as well as facilitating lean manufacturing, kanban andJIT manufacturing. Castellations, end caps or divider solutionscan also be provided to offer an alternative solution to inserts.

Where it is not feasible or cost effective to use returnable packaging, then one-waypackaging may be the most realistic choice. Typically, when other packaging materialssuch as cardboard do not offer enough protection or are too time consuming toassemble, then foam end caps, castellations or inserts may provide the best option.Less durable but more cost effective materials can be recommended to suit.
