Getting Started!

Overview

Magento banner slider extension allows you to add attractive and

promotional banners on home, category and CMS pages of your

website. You can add text and a clickable link on the banner. The

banners can be customized for width, height and order. Define

Magento slider type and set it to auto play. The slider transition type

and speed can also be specified for alluring animation.

Extension Features

Upload Multiple Banners

✓ The facility to upload multiple banners allows you to add as much advertising banners as you consider appropriate for your business website.

Show On Home, Category & CMS Pages

✓ Banners can be displayed on the home page, CMS pages and specific categories, so that relevant banners are displayed to users of any specific page.

Add Text & Link On Banners

✓ You can add text to define the banner, and a clickable link so that users can easily visit a page associated with the banner.

Configure Banner Dimensions

✓ By configuring banner settings, you can set width, height and order that seem like a part of your web design.

4 Slider Transition Types

✓ Magento slider extension allows you to set a transition type of slider between move, fade, slide in and slide out, whichever seems appropriate.

Set Auto Play, Speed & Slide Order

✓ You can set the transition to auto play. Enter speed and slide order to enhance the slider effects.



User Guide

After installation of module, make sure the setup is upgraded and static-contents are deployed. Login

to admin panel and flush you Magento cache storage.

I. How to Add/Edit Banners:

Step 1 – Go to Manage Banner: At the backend go to “Manage Banner”. You can go there from Admin Panel > FME Extensions >

Banner. Click on “Add Banner” to continue.

Step 2 – Fill the Required Information:

Here you will have to fill your Banner information. For the purpose of this demo we have added the

following information.



Step 3 – Set Categories:

Here you will have to select the category for your banners. For the purpose of this demo we have

select the following.

Step 3 – Frontend:

Now at the frontend your Banner will appear as the following. You can always go back and edit this

information.



II. How to Configure the Extension:

At the backend, go to Admin Panel > FME Extensions > Category Banners > Configration. Here you will

have access to the following configurations:

Categories Banners Settings:

1. Enable Categories Banners

2. Slider Type

3. Auto Play

4. Delay time: The delay time between each slide when it plays. Delay time in seconds

5. Slide Transition: The type of Transition effect while changing slides.

6. Slide Transition Period: The time taken to complete image transition. The value in

milliseconds. The transition speed can be reduced by increasing this value.

7. Slide Random Order: To randomize the order of images on each time the page loads.

8. Banner Width: Best width with default themes (1-Column (900), 2-Column (675)

9. Banner Height: Best to set according to your banners height



10. Show Banner Content: Show content with Banners or not

11. Show Banner Title: Show Title with Banners or not
