At FMC, science and innovation drive our business. We are focused on developing a continuous stream of new molecules and products to help growers protect their crops against threats from destructive pests, invasive weeds and diseases. As resistance to older technologies increases, modern solutions with new modes of action are critical to successful, sustainable farming. We are committed to investing significant resources to discover new active ingredients and formulations that support growers around the world. Our R&D team of more than 800 scientists and associates are guiding one of the most robust discovery and development pipelines in the industry. Those efforts include: an award-winning pipeline of 22 synthetic active ingredients, 14 featuring new modes of action; two synthetic active ingredients advancing from discovery to development, an important step toward commercialization of new products; a planned $50 million
investment at FMC’s Stine Research Center in Delaware for facility upgrades and construction of a new state-of-the-art greenhouse and laboratory; recent U.S. launch of Lucento® fungicide, a new and well-received dual mode of action product that has exceeded initial demand projections; initial development of digital tools for precision agriculture, leveraging the power of data and artificial intelligence to help growers make better farming decisions; and the opening of a pilot fermentation facility at FMC’s European Innovation Center in Denmark to support development of natural biological product solutions.
FMC’s people and culture are special. We foster an inclusive environment where diverse views, backgrounds and experiences are keys to our success. Safety is at the forefront of everything we do and we continue to be one of the safest companies among our industry peers.
