    Although th is ma nu al includes a discus sion of corp s a nd division MP

    elements, it primarily focuses on the principles of platoon operations

    an d th e t actics, techn iques, an d procedures (TTP) the platoon uses

    to accomplish its mission.T h i s F M p r o v i d e s t h e c a p a b i l i t i e s a n d o r g a n i z a t i o n o f t h e M P ,

    demonstrates the flexibility and diversity of MP in adapting to any

    m i s s ion t h r o u g h ou t t h e fu l l s p e ct r u m of Ar m y op e r a t i on s , a n d

    cha r a ct e r i ze s t h e M P a s a com ba t - for c e m ul t i pl ie r . Addi t i ona l ly,

    t h i s m a n u a l id e n t i fi es t h e f a ct t h a t t h e Ar m y w il l n o t con d u ct

    operations alone and defines the role of the MP in support of joint,

    mu ltina tiona l, and int eragency operat ions.

    The MP TTP are organized by the MP functions of MMS, AS, I/R,

    LO, and PIO with supporting tasks, both individual and collective,

    to help illust ra te th e functions.

    1-1. As a flexible economy-of-force organization, MP

    provide a wide range of diverse support because of their

    a g i li t y a n d v e r s a t i l i t y t o a d a p t t o a n y m i s s i on or

    environment. As a combat multiplier, they support the
