General Project Information
PROJECT LENGTH – Approximately 2.8 miles
FM 2252 Proposed Improvements:
– Expand the existing 2 lane road to 4 lanes with a continuous two way left
turn lane and raised medians, bike lanes, curb, sidewalk, and drainage
improvements
– Intersection improvements at Evans Road
– Replace existing bridge over Cibolo Creek and construct new bridge
– New grade separation over the railroad at Bracken

CONSIDERATIONS
– Approximately 2 Acres ROW needed
– Traffic Noise Analysis will be studied
– Karst study will be performed
– Historical and Archeological resources will be evaluated
– Water resources will be studied
– Portions of the proposed project are within a Federal Emergency
Management Agency (FEMA) designated 100 yr floodplain.

ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by
applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been,
carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of
Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
La revisión ambiental, consultas y otras acciones requeridas por las leyes
ambientales federales aplicables para este proyecto están siendo o han sido,
llevado a cabo por TxDOT ‐ en virtud de 23 USC 327 y un Memorando de
Entendimiento fechado el 16 de Diciembre del 2014, y ejecutado por la FHWA
y el TxDOT.
