OATs leadership team is in the midst of rolling out the red carpet for the various industry accreditation teams. During this “audit” season, Omni is hosting NetJets/Executive Jet Management, ARGUS, Wyvern and the Department of Defense as part of their continuing accreditation programs. These audits involve members of the operations, maintenance, safety & security and sales departments all focused on showcasing the “Omni Way”.
Throughout Omni’s 35 year history of excellence they have achieved the premier safety accreditations to include ARGUS Platinum, Wyvern Wingman, IS-BAO Stage III and DoD Preferred Charter Operator status. Omni’s continued focus on excellence and achieving/maintaining the premier status across these multiple organization’s accreditation programs places Omni Air Transport in the Top 1% of all Part 135 Charter Operators.

As part of Omni Air Transport’s continued pursuit of organizational excellence and continued focus on safety, OAT once again participated in the premier safety conference hosted by Bombardier, Safety Standdown. In 2018, with the Normalization of Excellence as its theme, Safety Standdown challenged attendees to raise their game in terms of professionalism. The experts provided the information and the tools to create a culture within flight departments where the norm is a job exceptionally well done, and gold medal performances are a daily occurrence. Seminars included topics such as “Keep it Simple Leadership for Higher
Safety Standards”, “Proactive Fatigue Risk Management”, “Normalizing Excellence through Mentoring & Leadership” and “Standardization - Why Bother?”. The event culminated
with key note speaker Dick Rutan presenting his first hand account of his Voyager aircraft around the world non-stop adventure. His presentation reflected the ultimate merger of aviation safety and ground breaking technology.

Chris Deslongchamp Promoted to Vice PresidentOmni Air Transport is pleased to announce that Chris Deslongchamp has been promoted to Vice President. Chris joined Omni in November 2017 as Director of Safety & Security and is a 24-year veteran of the aviation industry. In addition to overseeing the growth of the Human Resources, IT and Marketing departments, Chris will continue directing the company safety and security efforts.
Aviation management and organizational leadership are what Chris knows best. He has a passion for aviation safety and security as evident in his panoply of certifications — including FAA Safety Management System Instructor, FAA Licensed Flight Dispatcher and Master Navigator (3500 hrs), along with specialized training received in FAA Accident Investigation and NTSB-Accident Investigation — distinguish him as a leader and expert when it comes to both domestic and international aviation. At home, Chris is a dedicated husband and father, die-hard Philadelphia Eagles and St. Louis Cardinals fan, as well as an enthusiastic woodworker and brewmaster.

Omni Air Transport will launch a new website in January 2019. The new site will provide an improved user experience through mobile optimization, content organization and interactive features.
