Task 2 Mental Maths GameCreate a set of 0-9 digit cards, you will also need a dice and a partner.
Turn over 2 cards to make a 2 digit number and roll a dice. You can either add them or subtract the dice amount. Colour in that number – if both numbers are gone, you
miss a go!
Bramley Church of England Primary*Try to avoid counting on your fingers!! *
Extra Challenge – Can you get 4 in a row?
0 1 2 3 45 6 7 8 9
Number LinesPlease watch the full explanation on Seesaw.
Using a numberline helps you to think through the steps you do mentally to add numbers together, it helps you to make quicker links between numbers without having to store all of the steps in your head – which is when you make mistakes!
Bramley Church of England Primary*Don’t forget to use a ruler to stay neat and clear*
Choose the right level for you. Use a numberline to work out the answers.

For the section – ‘Habitat, Where might it live?’ You may want to look at our habitats from last week and/or tell us where in the world you might find this animal or anything else you know about where it lives, for example, you might know what owls make their nests, in the holes in trees!
I have done an example for you! Good luck!

Task 6: PE - Mindfulness YogaThis week we would like you to take some time to relax and be positive, using different yoga moves. There are 10 different yoga moves, which you need to name something positive. The idea is to repeat this to yourself or out loud whilst holding the pose. There 2 examples for you. This activity should help you feel better, so it doesn’t matter if you can’t do the pose, try and do the best you can, safely! Most importantly, have fun and enjoy! You may even want to see if anyone else in your home wants to join in too! Example:
I am strong I am wise

Can you solve the logic puzzles?By adding together each shape, you make the total at the end of the row. What is the value of each shape?
All of the numbers are 1-9.
In this puzzle, you also need to check the total at the bottom of each column works! All of the numbers are 1-9.
Bramley Church of England PrimaryMass (Weight)The mass of an object is how much it weighs –measured in kilograms and grams.
Find a range of objects from around your house, e.g. big book, small book, tv remote, pencil case, shoe, mug, apple, potato, etc.
Which item weighs the most?Hold the items in your hand and choose the heaviest and the lightest.Weigh them both on a scale and record them in the table. Now you are going to estimate the weight of all of the other items. Think about:
Are they similar to the heaviest item or a lot less?
Are any items about the same?
Are any double the weight of the lightest item?
*Don’t just guess amounts – use the two weights you know to help you*
Now
accurately weigh them on the scale and record the mass in the grey boxes.Use your items to answer these questions:
1). How many of your items had a mass greater than 1kg?
Item Actual Mass(g and kg)
Estimates Mass(g and kg)
Heaviest
Lightest
Bramley Church of England Primary
2). How many of your items had a mass less than 0.5kg (500grams)?
Use your numberline or subtraction method to answer these:3). What is the difference in mass between the 2 biggest objects?
4). What is the difference in mass between the biggest and smallest item?
5).
What is the difference in mass between the 2 smallest objects?
Bramley Church of England PrimaryTask 9: PSHE – Inspirations
In this task you need to choose someone who has inspired you! It may be a friend, a family member, someone famous, or even someone from the past! What you need to do: Download or draw a picture of the person, then write words and phrases around the outside explaining why they inspire you. Think about: their qualities, what they have done, what you like about them, how they make you feel etc. You may want to write a sentence explaining who they are too! I have done an example below to help you: I have chosen Rosie Jones as my inspiration. She is a female comedian with Cerebral Palsy, who I recently watched live at the Anvil.
Bramley Church of England Primary
Task 10: Information PagesYou are going to create a fact file, leaflet or poster all about 1 predator. Choose one of the predators we watched in the film clips (or another of your choice) to research Today is a research/ gathering ideas day:There is lots to think, research and write about, I have grouped the information you might want to talk about:
OR YOU COULD HAVE ANY OTHER PIECES OF INFORMATION YOU WANT TO!
At the top of each box / section, come up with a suitable subheading. Some could be questions, some could be statements.
Your ResearchKey Skills:
*write as NOTES, not full sentences
Where does it live? What is it like there? Is there a special reason it lives
there?
What does it eat? What special skills / techniques
does it have? What does it need / do in order
to survive?
Is it the prey of another predator?
How does it survive? Is it an endangered species? If
so, what can we do to protect it?
Could you draw a picture and label the different parts?
Do you know any interesting facts about it?
Have you ever seen one in real life?
Bramley Church of England Primary*try to include key vocabulary: technical / topic vocabulary
*make sure the information goes in the correct group.
Task 11: Fractions of Amounts
Robotic FractionsWhat fraction of the robots are pink?
What fraction of the robots have antennae?
True or False (if you think they are false, prove it!)
2 of the robots are green, so 1 are green
Bramley Church of England Primary
Fractions of Amounts
Work out these fractions of amounts. Using your times tables will help you lots! If you need to, you could draw dots or use small items to help you.
Choose the right Spice level for you!

2 of the robots are green, so 1 are green
1 of 12 is 4 , so 2 of 12 is 83 3because 12 ÷ 3 = 4 3 x 4 =12 you need to double it
1 of 30 is 6 , so 4 of 30 is 245 5because 30 ÷ 5 = 6 5 x 6 = 30 you need to times by 4

Bramley Church of England PrimaryLiving Things Classification Key
Look through this classification key to understand how people can sort and group living things. They need to ask questions to help separate and identify.
(The
invertebrate part of the sorting tree wouldn’t fit on!)
Look at what you can learn about the frogIt is a vertebrate, it does not have feathers and it does lay eggs.
Which am I?I am a vertebrate, I do have feathers but I don’t have webbed feet.____________________
Creating your own Classification Key
Bramley Church of England Primary
You are going to create your own sorting key – you can use the template we have given you or draw your own on a piece of paper.
Firstly, choose 8 different Living Things and draw them in the top boxes.
Think about what question you ask to split them into two groups? The questions needs to have a yes or no answer.
(They might not split into 4 and 4, you may need to add a few boxes or cross some out.)
Make sure you use the new vocabulary learning from ‘Animal Vocabulary Help Page’.
Next, think about what question could you ask to split these living things into two more groups?
Keep drawing the items as you move down. Each time you need to look at the items and think; What separates these?
Keep asking questions until you have sorted them all into their own group.
Create your own sorting tree on the template or a piece of paper. You can do this straight onto Seesaw (and save it there) or on paper (then take a photo and upload it).

Find the correct answer to the questions to plot a route
through the maze.
Challenge

Adding FractionsHow many more ‘parts’ do you need to make a whole?Think about how many pieces it has been ‘cut’ into.
Bramley Church of England Primary
What about when you need more than 1 whole cake or pizza?
Paul ate 3/5 of pizza and Alan ate 4/5. Did they need more than 1 whole pizza?
3 + 4 What fraction of pizza did they eat altogether? 75 5 5 7 = 1whole and 2 5 5
Add together these fractions. Are they bigger than 1 whole?
What are they as improper fractions 7 and mixed number fractions 1whole and 2 5 5
Challenge
Remember, the pizzas are still cut into 5 pieces!
