Definition of Water Hammer When a valve in piping is opened or closed suddenly or when there is a drastic fluctuation in the flow upon operating or stopping the pump, the pressure fluctuates, and the flow also changes abruptly which is called Water Hammer phenomenon.

In case of black-out/artificial pump sudden stop, it will make column separation of outlet pump due to procedure of fluid inertial force.

3-3. Damage by Water Hammer
Due to pressure rising in the pipeline, it damages facilities such as pumps, valves,pipes and etc.
Vapor cavities causes collapse or heavy shock wave generated in the course of column separation and subsequent causes break of the pipeline.
A cause of vibration and noise.
Due to abnormal pressure wave, it lose control of pressure control equipment including automatic control unit.

Traditional water level control method and water level limit
As a new conception of water level control method which is interlocked with pump, it dose not need to rearrange the water level because there is no influence in pipe line when water level is became low after pump stopping. However it can lessens the pressure air & air compressor requirements when the pump is operate as safety device.
