HONORS & AWARDS

LUECK LOOKS TO JOIN ELITE COMPANY » Junior outfielder Jackson Lueck has led the Sem-

inoles in batting average each of his first two seasons, hitting .379 in 2016 and .318 in 2017.

» Lueck is attempting to become just the third Seminole to win three-consecutive team batting titles, following Doug Mientkiewicz (1993-95) and DJ Stewart (2013-15).

» Despite missing 13 games in 2017, Lueck im-proved his doubles (10-11) and home runs (4-9) from his freshman season. Lueck saves his best baseball for the postseason, hitting a combined .467 in eight ACC tournament games (2017 MVP) and .306 in the NCAA tournament in 16 games, including .342 in 2017.

» In 2018, three of Lueck’s 11 hits have gone for extra bases, including a home run against Troy on February 23.

KARP DOMINATES AT JACKSONVILLE » Junior pitcher Andrew Karp was lights out at

Jacksonville, allowing four hits and no walks and striking out a career-high 12 batters in FSU’s 4-0 win.

» Freshman Jonah Scolaro entered in the seventh inning at JU and completed the game, pitching three perfect innings and striking out four hitters.

» Karp and Scolaro combined for 16 strikeouts without a walk, a feat FSU has accomplished just five times in school history.

(and also no walks) at Florida last season. » He is one of four Seminoles to have a 10+ strike-

out game last year (Tyler Holton-6, Drew Parrish, Will Zirzow, Karp) and the first to do so in 2018.

» Before last year, the last time an FSU player had double-digit strikeouts was Mike Compton against Coastal Carolina in 2015.

» Karp is just the 10th FSU pitcher, and first since 1996, to record at least 11 strikeouts against the Gators:

and five different pairs of pants.

The most famous of these uniforms, the Sunday Golds, are worn during home games played on Sundays. Over the past 10 sea-sons, since 2009, FSU is 73-10 in the uni-forms, including perfect records in 2010

(10-0) and 2012 (11-0).
