Florida Safety Decision Making Methodology This training is mandatory for all case management staff. The hours obtained from this course may count towards Florida Certification Board (FCB) and COA. Course Description: The Florida Decision Making Methodology is a new practice for Florida’s child welfare community. The approach is simple: actively interact with the families we assist to ensure our children’s safety, well-being, and permanency are being met. A Culture-Centered Approach to Recovery

Demonstrates the many ways in which culture is central, not peripheral, to recovery. The course includes a review of the many dimensions of culture, the impact of worldview on psychosocial rehabilitation (PSR) practice and the steps to becoming a culturally competent service provider. It includes exercises which help the learner explore their own culture and worldview as well as identify biases which could impact their relationships with others. [1.25 credit hours].
