Quick History

• Congress passed the Breast and Cervical Cancer Mortality Prevention Act of 1990; Public Law 101-354

• CDC created the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (NBCCEDP)

• Florida Breast Cancer Early Detection and Treatment Referral Program signed into law on May 23, 2001.

Eligibility Requirements

• Women aged 50-64

• <200% below Federal Poverty Level

• Underinsured or uninsured

Exceptions• <50 years of age or >64

• First degree relatives
