Falling over is all part of playing. A poured rubber surface is without any doubt the best impact sur-face. Unlike bark woodchip or sand, you never find hazardous or unpleasant objects beneath the surface.

FLEXOTOP™ is hard-wearing surface, and it does not have any joins or seams in which waste can collect and it’s a good drainage ensures a fast-drying surface.

FLEXOTOP™ is shock-absorbent and reduces the risk of serious injuries, while at the same time being comfortable to walk on. This kind of surfac-ing also makes the playground more accessible to children and adults with disabilities.

MaterialsFLEXOTOP™ is made up of two layers of in situ cast rubber that are laid one after the other. The bottom layer is the base that provides the shock-absorbent effect. The thick-ness of this layer therefore has to be adapted to the critical fall height in the playground. The top layer is at approx. 15 mm thick and it protects the shock-absorbent base from wear and tear. This is where you can use different colours and create plenty of graphic features.

Bottom layerThe base consists of 100% recycled rubber, mainly from recycled tyres. All tyres are thoroughly cleaned to remove any brake residue or other contaminants before they are processed. The processed material is then sorted, using magnets to ensure that there are no remaining metal fragments.

Top layerThe top layer consists of EPDM gran-ulates, made for purpose or recycled.

Best value in the long termLong-lasting, no topping up and practically maintenance-free.

A safe solutionFLEXOTOP™ has been tested and approved in accordance with EN1177. We offer optional HIC testing with every installation.

Wide range of applicationsFLEXOTOP™ is intended for use in play and activity environments, but it also has many other poten-tial applications, e.g. paths, parks and other recreational areas.

the possible effect of UVThe wetpour surface may perhaps be affected by the UV light from the sun.One effect may under certain conditions be a yellowing of the binding agent used, which in particularly can change the appearance of bright colors. How-ever, this can be avoided by selecting our aliphatic binder.The rubber granulates are as such color stable but will, depending on the color, fade slightly over time.
