DESCRIPTION
In 2009 id11 accomplished the project FLAT_land. Approximately 85 artists executed a project in an empty house or apartment of FLAT_land situated in the Poptahof neighborhood, Delft, The Netherlands. Among the participants were around 37 international artists using id11’s artist-in-residence program HET TIJDELIJK VERBLIJF. A book is published of the project FLAT_land which gives an impression of FLAT_land. This booklet can be ordered for 5 euros (excl.postage/porto).

FLAT_landart project
Foundation id11 aspires to create artist residencies and presentation spaces for artists where experimentation can thrive.
In a temporay location at the Poptahof neighborhood in Delft, The Netherlands, foundation id11 realized the project FLAT_land. Over a period of time, artists took possession of apartments and houses which were slated for demolition.
Two houses and several apartments were used for id11’s artist-in-residence program HET TIJDELIJK VERBLIJF as spaces for international artists to live and work. The other apartments and houses were used by artists living in The Ne-therlands. The participating artists made work related to this unique location.
Every month there was a presentation of the FLAT_land project; four artists introduced themselves and talked about their works at bij wijze van SPREKEN, while all participating artist presented their work at the _galerij_loop_____.
id11 continues realizing projects in temporary spaces.
