Flat PlansMy flat plans are a guide of how I want my magazine

pages to be laid out. I have used my research on

Pop magazines to influence the design, therefore I

have chosen to make my magazine look busy and

fun as I feel this will appeal to the audience more

than being structured and basic.

I have chosen

to make my

magazine front

cover quite

full, so that it

attracts the

audiences

attention and

displays itself as

being full of

gossip and

worth spending

money on.

The picture will

be a staged

photo of a

female

singer, so that

straight away

they are being

presented with

a typical

teenage roll

model. She will

be wearing the

latest fashion

and be posing.

The pictures in

the bottom left

are most likely

going to be

live photos, to

make the

magazine

have

excitement.

I have chosen to include many cover lines so that it draws you in with snippets of gossip which the female age

range likes.

The

contents

page is just

as busy, as I

have used

‘Smash hits’

magazine

as a base

and

adapted it

to make it

original. I

have still

managed to

place the

text and

important

information

in columns

so it still fits

the normal

expected

layout.

I have chosen to include a note from the magazine

team so that they can connect with the audience and show they are providing the

magazine that they want, and that they appreciate them buying it.

There is still two pictures included on this page as when I did

my survey, I found that they wanted to see photos.

I have chosen to make

one of the pages out

of the double page

spread a full image.

After analysing other

magazines, I found

that there was often

large images and my

survey also tells me

that the audience like

to see pictures. The

picture will be a

staged image of a

music artist, who looks

glamorous.

There will be quite

a lot of different

sections of

information on the

double page

spread such as an

interview, album

reviews and news

about the latest

gigs and

upcoming tour

dates. All of these

things were picked

up on in the survey

I conducted.

The different

parts are

arranged in an

abnormal way,

being off scale

so that it seems

fun and quirky.
