Heinrich Wagner Sinto have extended their product range with a new generation of moulding lines in the FBO range. The linesare for the production of horizontally parted flaskless moulds.

THE ADVANTAGES OF FBO MOULDING LINES

■ High productivity.The FBO moulding machine can pro-duce moulds between 900 x 700 mmand 500 x 400 mm at rates from 80 to 160 moulds per hour.

■ Environment friendlytechnology.

The self-contained system avoidsover-filling with sand, thus providinga clean working environment andhumane working conditions.

In the development of the compac-tion system and the mechanicalhandling system, special attentionwas given to keep the noise levels toa minimum.

FBO lines meet all present daydemands for environment friendlytechnology.

■ Rapid availability.FBO machines are supplied asturnkey projects and installed at floor level. A foundation pit may berequired in some cases, dependingon the installation site. The installa -tion of the additional lifting andtransporting equipment needs very little time and presents no problemsso that the complete system is rapidlyavailable for production.

■ Operating personnel is quickly trained.

FBO machines and their controls areergonomically designed and operatorfriendly. The operating cycle is con-trolled from the operator’s controlpanel with VDU and training is com-pleted within a few operating hours.

■ Drag box shuttle.A shuttle system enables the drag boxto roll out of the machine for safeinsertion of the core under goodergonomic working conditions.

The sand filling system facilitates theproduction of accurate moulds usingbentonite bonded moulding sand.The automatic pressure control mechanism of the sand inlet andpressing unit ensures even sand compaction, guaranteeing high quality production of complicatedcastings even if these involve deeppockets and thin walls.

The compaction process allows theheight of the upper and lower mouldsections to be varied independently of each other.

This significantly reduces sand consumption, improving economy(optimising the casting / sand ratio).

FBO MOULDING LINES OF MODULAR CONSTRUCTION

To enable the capacity of the FBO machines to be fully utilised, a special mechanical handling system of modular design was developed. The complete installation consists of the following components:

■ Flaskless moulding machine FBO

■ Transporting system of mouldpackages

■ Weights, jackets and jacket cleaners

■ Weights and jacket transfer units

■ Mould package push-off device

■ Automatic control system

Options:

■ Increasing production is possi-ble by the installation of asecond FBO moulding machine

■ Extension of the capacity of themechanical handling system

■ Core setting unit

■ Pattern plate heating
