Information is stored in different parts of your memory. Information stored in recent memory may include what you ate for breakfast this morning. Information stored in the short-term memory may include the name of a person you met moments ago. Information stored in the remote or long-term memory includes things that you stored in your memory that happend years ago; long term memories, such as something personal as a childhood and on-going life experiences.

How Does Sound Trigger a Memory?
The sensory cortex is the place in our brain in charge of memory. There are two parts of the sensory cortex: the primary cortex and the secondary cortex. The secondary cortex deter mines the pitch of a noise and diffe rent musical noises. When we listen to songs as a child or a particular song that happened to be playing during a memory you have. Those tunes will always trigger past memories. Always being familiar they can help you

A smell can bring on overload of
memories, it can influence people’s moods
and even affect their work performance.
Because the olfactory bulb is part of the
brain’s limbic system, an area so closely
associated with memory and feeling it’s
sometimes called the “emotional brain,”
smell can call up memories and powerful
responses almost instantaneously.
The olfactory bulb has intimate
access to the amygdala, which processes
emotion, and the hippocam pus, which is
responsible for associa tive learning. When
you first smell a new scent, you link it to an
event, a person, a thing or even a moment.
Your brain forges a link between he smell
and a memory. When you encounter the
smell again, and memories are very

to elicit a memory or a mood. Because we
encounter most new odors in our youth,
smells often call up childhood memories.
Make associations between smell and
emotion before we’re even born. By using
the contain and eye dropper, one will be
able to contain the smells in you enjoy
smelling to remember in the future.

Using your Sensesto Never Forget Anything!!
There are three basic steps in the
creation of memories: sensory memory,
short-term memory, and long-term
memory. Information is first absorbed by
the sensory memory, which holds an exact
copy but only for a few seconds. This is
where sense are always involved in storing
memories. Did you know that the
impressions received from your five sens
es of sight, hearing, taste, touch, and smell
have a significant role in the retention of
information in your mind? These are called
Memory of Sense Impressions. By using all
your senses to remember memories and
