Advanced Web User Interface UI

• The Advanced Web‐based UI components will provide a simple,uniform way to create rich networked 2D and 3D applications that runin a browser.

• The objective is to significantly improve the user experience for theFuture Internet by adding new user input and interaction capabilities,such as interactive 3D graphics, immersive interaction with the realand virtual world (Augmented Reality), virtualizing and thusseparating the display from the (mobile) computing device forubiquitous operations, and many more.

Security

• The mechanisms which ensure that the delivery and usage of servicesis trustworthy and meets security and privacy requirements.

• The “secure by design” concept addresses both the securityproperties of the FI‐WARE platform itself and the applications thatwill be built on top of it. As such, the Security Architecture will focuson key security functionalities such as identity management orsecurity monitoring to be delivered as so‐called generic securityenablers which, by design, can be integrated with implementations ofthe FI‐WARE GEs.

Interfaces to networks and devices (I2ND)

• Open interfaces to networks and devices, providing the connectivity needs of services delivered across the platform.

• I2ND defines an enabler space for providing Generic Enablers (GEs) to run an open and standardised network infrastructure. The infrastructure deals with highly sophisticated terminals, as well as with highly sophisticated proxies, on one side, and with the network operator infrastructure on the other side..
