How it all began?
• Fish to Schools program emerged out of the Community Health Summit in Sitka in 2010
• In partnership with the Sitka Conservation Society(SCS), SCS received funding from the Crossett Fund to improve the overall health and well being of children in Sitka, AK, as well as educate students about the connection between their food and the surrounding natural environment.

Pacific High School
• PHS is our alternative high school
• Students help prepare their school lunch.
• They have been recognized nationally in the USA Today for their fish to schools meal, the article of “What School Meals Really Look Like”
Where are we going???
• Nutritional Alaska Foods in Schools Grant has not been renewed for next year
• Sitka School District currently has received $27,000 in the extra funds that were not spent in 2012-2013, 2013-2014. we will also receive some more funding for the current school year.
• The 2015-2016 school year, we will run our coho donation and subsidized with the NAFS extra funds.
