Dear families,

Welcome everyone to the 2017 school year. Happy New Year—

the Chinese Year of the Rooster and I know we will have many

achievements to ‘crow’ about during the year.

Our first school assembly will be next Friday here at school and we

will welcome our new staff, students and their families to our

school community.

It is of utmost importance that we all work together to achieve the best outcomes for

each student. Working together requires open and consistent communication

between school, families and support teams. Please talk about problems as they

arise as it is easier to address them as well as tell us about the great things your

child does. Teachers will be asking you what is the best way to communicate each

day. The school office is contactable by phone until 5.00pm most days.

We have an app that we use for class communication with families: Yammer. This

allows teachers to share your child’s work with you and communicate with you daily.

It is mobile friendly so can be used on your phone. Please ask your child’s teacher

about signing up for Yammer.

Joining our School Council is an important way of being involved and making a

difference in your child’s education. We are looking for new members so if you are

interested and you can spare 2 hours once a month

Welcome to MyTime

MyTime is a group for parents and carers of children

with disabilities. We do talks, run activities and get

together with other parents and carers. All parents

and carers are welcome to come along to any group,

and activities are paid for by MyTime.

Childcare is provided by Play Helpers who are

experienced in working with children with disabilities.
