    Entrepreneurship

Our education system channels learners towards becoming job

seekers, rather than creating jobs. This is because the system

does not challenge learners to use skills they acquired from

classrooms to address challenges outside textbooks. School

subjects addressing entrepreneurship are theoretically as

opposed to getting out there and coming with innovative ways

to solve problems using entrepreneurship. The

entrepreneurship plenary season is focused on how we can use

such a tool to address the issue of developing our local

    economy.

    Leadership

This plenary session will look at leadership from a global

prospect and how can young people use leadership roles at

schools to sharpen themselves to be global leaders to address

    global politics.

    Personal Financial skills

We believe that saving does not start, later in the future but

now. The need for personal financial management is important,

in order for one to experience financial freedom. During this

plenary session, learners will be taught on how to improve their

personal saving skills and time value of money.

    Community engagement

We believe in sustainability than just giving out. The

community engagement plenary will explain the

process of individuals to build ongoing relationships for

the purpose of applying a collective vision for the

    benefit of a community.

    Career Guidance

Learners will engage with a career specialist of various career

paths they can follow. This will serve as a pathfinder for

learners to find what they are interested in doing to match their

    destination.

    Values

Beyond all the adventure, we give our campers life skills they can apply after in life. This skills

incorporates the development of individuals mind, tools for solving problems and improving lateral

    thinking.

Our camps have different plenary meetings that engage on our values. Each camp will engage on

at least three of the following plenary pillars:

    Pre-University Camps

An article by BusinessTech (South Africas alarming

university dropout rate, 2015) revealed that up to 41%

of students who enter university dropout. Our pre-

university camps aim to challenge such horrific

statistics through a university readiness and life

coaching programme. We find this programme

necessary in order to bridge the gap between High

School and University. Such camps will give

prospective students training on personal financial

skills, seeking beyond university and facilitation by

entrepreneurs to inspire our campers to pursue

    entrepreneurship as a life style.

    High School Camps

High school camps focus on career guidance and giving

learners a competitive edge. These camps are

structured to expose learners to various careers paths

and an opportunity to interact with university students in

    various fields of study.

All our activities are centered on adventure, this makes

our camps a vibrant tool to unleash potential hidden

within these learners. Campers will participate in a

community engagement plenary meetings during our

camps and side by side with local community-driven

projects/organisations, such as the Bophelong Children

    Home.

    Beyond boarders

Beyond Boarders are tours and trips outside South

Africa. Learn Kung Fu from Shaolin Monks the

Discovery of China tour, go swim in the beautiful tropical

blue beaches of Mozambique, enjoy quart biking

adventure at the Namib Deserts in Namibia, and

discover the world of your favourite childhood story

come to live at the Universals Islands of Adventure in

Orlando Florida (USA). We go beyond touring but we

give our customers a cultural exchange experience,

through participating in local traditional heritage for a

    lasting learning opportunity.

This will give learners an opportunity come out of their

comfort zones and into an experience that makes them

more open-minded and confident. These unique events

combine educational tours and leadership plenary

meetings. We can customize any journey to match

school's needs, and help create your ideal tour from

    scratch.

    Kruger National Park Tours

Taking a safari tour is more than a visit to the zoo, but a

great opportunity for learners to give their fingers a break

from texting but to explore the beauty of nature and

through getting their fingers dirty in the heart of Africa. The

Kruger national park tour is an educational trip that strongly

deals with teaching learners the essence of conserving

    nature.

The tour will take the route from Punda Maria gate in

Mpumalanga. Learners will take a visit to the African

kingdom at the mysterious fortress of Thulamela, for a

glimpse of an early African civilisation that was an offshoot

of Great Zimbabwe on the southern banks of the Luvuvhu

River near Pafuri in Kruger National Park.

First One Adventures business model, addresses

social needs faced by communities; needs to get

young people to believe in themselves, be game

changers and not just expect free handout from the

government. The world is faced with many global

challenges such as gender and social inequality,

    environmental issues and unemployment.

Through our camps with these young people we are

able to build them with better visions pertaining their

future and how they perceive the world. We believe

that from our pre-university camps we will be able to

keep more students studying in university and not

fall part of the dropout statistics.

Our extended mission goes to the extent of having

projects aimed to giving learners an opportunity to

    do community engagement. Through such
