Parents, you have a great opportunity this summer to make sure your children and youth are involved in the various summer camps and other experiences that can help them to either come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior, or to grow deeper in their faith as a young Christian. Summer is always a busy time and sometimes it’s hard to t it all in, but you will never regret taking the time to invest in the spiritual growth of your child or teen. My challenge to you is that you would put at least as much time and e ort and expense into their spiritual growth as you do in recreational and sporting or other extracurricular activities. Remember, study after study shows that kids and teens whose parents are strongly involved in church and make sure their kids spiritual growth is a priority are much less likely to walk away from their faith and church when they graduate.

What a great week we had at our Vacation Bible School last week! I want to thank Kevin Nelson, Jennifer Warren, Marcy Smith (VBS Director) and all the Teachers and Adult and Youth Volunteers for all the hard work they did to make it such a wonderful week. There were many decisions made and we hope to see those who made decisions to follow Christ and desiring to be baptized follow through as several did this past Sunday. It was great to hear so many of our kids quoting Isaiah 30:21, “And whenever you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear this command behind you: This is the way. Walk in it.” That is a great life verse for us to memorize as well.

This week our older Students will be going to Big Stuf Camp in Panama City. Ryan and Amy Smith will be leading the way. Please keep them and the other adults and youth in your prayers. Pray for safety and that God will move in the lives of our students. Pray they will draw closer to Christ or come to know Him personally if they have yet to make that decision.

One of the joys of summer is homemade ice cream. What’s your favorite avor? Sunday, June 28 will be our RE ections on Patriotism in the evening service. Afterwards we will have an Ice Cream Fellowship. Sign up to bring your favorite avor of homemade ice cream and let’s enjoy some church family fellowship time.

Stay cool and be safe as you travel about this summer…be present when you are in town…and let’s BE THE CHURCH!

One of the things that many of us enjoy on Sundays is a good cup of

co ee. In order to continue providing co ee on Sunday mornings

we need twelve (12) of our Adult Sunday School Classes to sign up to

take one (1) month during the year. Each class can decide whether

one person does it or four di erent people make the co ee for their

month. It takes about 1 hour each week showing up around 7:15 AM.

Courtney Hice is the Co ee Team Coordinator and will be glad to

answer any questions and show you how to make the co ee and the

areas where it goes. Thanks for your help!

NOTE: We still need seven more classes to help/

WE AREPray for this group of students as they take

part in a Worship & Relationship Building

Camp called Big Stuf! The camp is held on

Panama City Beach, Florida.

Students today have a greater platform

than ever before. We all want to feel like

we have a purpose. We all want to make

a di erence. It feels like it should be easy,

but there is a gap between who we are and

who we want to be. How do we become

the world changers, the leaders in our

school and church, the ones with the big

ideas? This summer, we want you to be

inspired, challenged, and meet Jesus in

a whole new way because we know that

who HE IS will forever change who WE ARE!

Pray for our group this week.
