Mycotoxins are metabolites of fungi / mouldswhich are absorbed from poultry gut andhinder the normal body functions of the bird.
The common mycotoxins affecting poultry are: Aflatoxins Zearalenones Ochratoxins Trichothecenes Citrinins
Toxins are mainly responsible for hepatic andrenal disfunctioning, immunosuppression, reduced growth, poor FCR, hatchability andfertility. These mycotoxins not only affect the poultrybut also affect the human beings as the toxicmetabolites excreted through meat & eggs.
Factors responsible for the Mycotoxicosisin poultry birds.
1. Tolerable level of mycotoxins:The tolerable level of mycotoxins in poultry isvery less i.e. not more than 15 PPB (part perbillion) in the feed. Due to the less tolerancecapacity, birds easily gets mycotoxicosis.
2. Improper storage of feed:Improper stored feed always produces fungi, which leads mycotoxins infections to the birds.
Effects of toxins: Loss of nutritive value of feed. Reduces palatability. Contamination with pathogens. Spreads diseases & secondary infections
in the farm. Poor immunity, growth & performance of
the birds results - poor production in the

MOS Polysacc- Mannan oligo saccharides binds multiple mycotoxins like
haride Aflatoxin, Ochratoxin and Fusarium toxin effectively in
the intestine.
Benefits :
· PROTOX acts as a broad spectrum toxin binder &mould inhibitor.
· PROTOX binds mycotoxins only and not adsorbsvitamins, minerals and other feed additives.
· PROTOX improves liver function and prevents fattyliver syndromes.
· PROTOX improves the beneficial microflora andprevents the multiplication of pathogenic bacteriain the gut.
· PROTOX improves immunity, digestion, FCR &productivity and helps to promote growth &performance.
· PROTOX relieves stress effectively.
Trial Report:Live body weight gained (gm) in broilers at
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th week of age in
Controlled & PROTOX group.
Dosage :
Routine use:
500 gm to 1kg/ton of feed.
During risk conditions (excess moisture etc.):
2 kg / ton of feed
(or) as advised by a veterinarian.
Presentation: 25 kg.
