Vacation Bible School will be held June 26-29, 2017 from 5-8:30pm. The VBS Staff is looking for teachers. We need teachers and assistants for classes in these grades: K-1; 2-3; 4-5; 6-8; 9-12; young adult; and adult. We also need (1) sitters/teachers for toddlers whose parents bring them to VBS; (2) music leaders; (3) AV help for Day 1, 3, and 4; and (4) art/crafts and fitness teachers. This year, we are in need of several people (at least 7-9) to assist with fitness time because fitness activities will be held within classrooms or outside are-as. If you have an interest in helping in any of these roles, please sign up in the Narthex today after service or contact Tommie Parsons or San-dra Mitchell. You may also email the Christian Education Ministry at [email protected] PLANNING TO RELOCATE? FBC members may find it necessary to relo-cate out of the area from their church. When the time to relocate oc-curs, we encourage you to share this with your Koinonia Deacon, the church office, and/or our Senior Pastor. No matter the reason for your departure, we want the opportunity to express our love and gratitude for your kingdom service and send you with a blessing. Give notice of y o u r pe nd i n g de p a r t u r e t o t he c hu r c h o f f i c e ([email protected]) AT LEAST TWO WEEKS prior to your last Sunday with us.

FBC WOMEN, GUESTS & FRIENDS: FBC now offers the option of Lap Scarves for any female who desires to sit on the front row pews, in the pulpit, or the pew in the very back of the sanctuary (beyond the Media Booth) during worship services. Ushers will inform women and young la-dies, who desire to sit in these areas, of the availability of lap scarves for comfort and cover-up. *It is an option only, not required. Upon re-quest, the Usher will provide the lap scarf. Upon the conclusion of a worship service, simply return the scarves to an Usher upon exiting the Sanctuary (double doors).

If you haven't seen your birthday or wedding anniversary listed and want to have it listed, help us out. *Email your name, birthday and/or wedding anniver-sary dates to [email protected] We want to promote the biblical joys of life.

Sunday School Lesson This Week

June 4: Judges 4:1-10 “Deborah and Barak.” The Book of

Judges records biographical studies of six major judges during

some chaotic times in the Old Testament. In today’s lesson, God

uses Deborah, a prophet and judge, to call Barak to lead an army

in the deliverance of God’s people from their oppressors. Exami-

nation of this lesson engenders questions about the characteris-

tics of effective leadership.
