Get Started - Quick Start User Guide
FireLight® is an intuitive, multi-carrier e-application solution that automates and accelerates the application
and signature process. In just a few clicks, you can start completing applications and capture signatures
electronically with FireLight, saving you valuable selling time.
The FireLight images and steps provided in this guide may be slightly different depending on your organization’s
branding and implemented system features, and the web browser you are using.
Access FireLight
Sign-in to you firm’s advisor portal and click the FireLight link or us the FireLight application URL provided by
your firm. FireLight opens to the Home page where you can start a new application, view status of existing
applications, manage your user preferences, and sign out of FireLight.
Start a New Application
Click New Application on the Home page
Select Jurisdiction, Product Type, and Carrier from the lists.
Select Product from list.

Select Forms, Click Create, name your application, and click Create to begin filling out the application.
Complete an Application
FireLight automatically chooses application forms based on state and product. The guided step bar provides
application completion status. The active step appears highlighted. A green check mark indicates a
completed step, The CONTINUE button moves you to the next step when the active step is 100% completed.
1. Form Entry – Enter data in all required application fields to obtain 100% in good order form completion.
Navigate from one page to the next using the next page arrows or by jumping to specific forms within
the package by clicking the Open chevron . If you are unable to complete Form Entry in a single
instance, click Save and access the application at a later time under My Recent Applications.

FireLight indicates Form Entry has met the requirements when all required fields within the forms are
completed. Click CONTINUE to move to the next step, Signatures.
2. Signatures – Click Use E-Signature or Decline E-Signature to take the next steps to capture required
Advisor and Client signatures. Application will be locked and no changes to the application can be made without
negating the e-signatures captured.
E-Signature – Select a Signer under List of Required Signers to begin the electronic signature process. Select
Send Email Request to the client to capture signature or have the client Sign Now.
Use E-Signature — Collect all signatures in the
application electronically.
Decline E-Signature — Collect all signatures
manually by wet signing paper copies. If one
signer declines e-signature, all signatures must
be collected manually. You will be directed to
print the application to capture wet signatures.

Sign Now
Follow the steps to capture Agent and Client signatures. Click each application to review documents, select the
Check Box verifiying applications have been reviewed and agree with the terms expressed within the document,
click Sign.
Capture signature and click I Consent. Repeat signture steps until all required signatures are captured.
Send Email Request
Send Email Request sends an email to the recipient’s email address with the link and instructions.
FireLight assigns an access Passcode visible only to you on the Send Email To Client To Request Signatures.
For extra security, the recipient can choose to use the Passcode instead of their date of birth and last 4 digits of
their SSN.

If a recipient’s email is not availabe or the recipient does not have email, click Generate Link Without Email
and a website link is generated that can be provided to the recipient via phone or text.
3. Finalize – Once you have obtained all required electronic signatures, you are ready to Finalize and submit
your application for processing. Click Continue and click Yes on the Confirmation Dialog box.
Once the application is submitted, a green check mark appears on each step of the process along with a
Finished button.

Under Other Actions, you can view/print the application, and see application summary, requests, and history.
