Fire Hose DummyHow to make a hose dummy for training

Roll out 3 lengths 1-3/4 hose and

connect.Align all 3 parallel.

Bring all lengths tight together.

Fold the lengths back on

themselves by pulling the middle.

Make all 6 pieces parallel and

upright.

Make an arm by pulling up one side

into a loop.

Make the other arm. Adjust and neaten.

Pull one side up into the torso,

leaving a long loop for the leg.

Pull the couplings up into the torso.

Tease one length out of the torso and

out into the arm.

Feed it neatly into the arm, up the

neck and into the head.

Feed around neatly into head until the

leftover goes straight into torso.

Repeat the process to build the other

leg.

Tease a piece out into the other arm.

Bring it around into the head until you find a nice pocket for the coupling.

Neaten and adjust. Looks good. Let’s secure it.

Get 7 LARGE zip ties.

Secure the top and bottom of the torso.

Make a zip tie loop around each

shoulder. Leave loose.

Zip tie around the neck, passing through each

shoulder.

Snug 3 interlaced zip ties evenly and trim all ends with

snips.

A smaller zip tie will reinforce the larger

torso ties.

Place reinforcing tie in this fashion

and tighten.

Tape multiple places on torso.

Ensure couplings can’t fall out.

Tape 3 places on each leg.

Shape your arm before taping.

Tape each arm twice, and tape the

neck.

Make your dummy a friend and go
