Ivor Gurney loved to walk to Chosen Hill from his home in Gloucester.

Gerald Finzi, who had great admiration for Gurney’s music,

visited the church just before his fi nal illness.

• Everyone is welcome to come!

• Tickets are £20 including morning coffee, lunchtime drink and afternoon tea.

• Individual sandwich-style lunches are £9 per person to be booked by

29th May, or bring your own.

• The lane up to Chosen Hill is very narrow so we suggest you leave your car at

St Andrew’s; we shall then ferry people up Chosen Hill to the church.

• There is a lavatory on Chosen Hill, more at St Andrew’s.

Finzi Friends and the Ivor Gurney Society are meeting at St Andrew’s, Churchdown and St Bartholomew’s on Chosen Hill for

a day with music and a talk.
