Finn’s Lantern This super easy diamond or lantern, could be used as a hanging ornament - or even as a small gift box (make it in card stock), closed with a ribbon, put through holes punched in the tips. It is very simple to fold, all folds are the same ‘direction’ - just do the four little reverse bits of folding (see the red marks) and the shape falls into place. It will need some glue on the sides that touch, to make a nice hanging ornament. The pattern faces down, and all folds 1.-4. are valley folds, and so are the ‘kite-folds’ (3.+4.), which you repeat from all four corners. When you have all your folds - as in 5. - you do a little reverse fold on the bits marked with red. Start working the sides (red marks) inwards, lift the corners - and the shape falls into place. Add some glue, or punch holes in the four tips for a bit of string to hold the legs in place. Happy folding! 1. 2. 3. + 4. 5. 6. 7.
