3. Gelber Muskateller 2016 Niederösterreich

Silvery green-lemon yellow, very pale, crystal clear. Nose is pronounced, typical from the Muscat variety with layers of rose and lychee on citrusy background showing tones of exotic citron fruit, yuzu, zests and lemon grass too. Dry, of medium acidity, its light content of alcohol makes it tender, supple. The texture is satin-like, as a smooth envelope. Zesty, somehow pungent to get some spicy punch, the finish is long and juicy with aromatic flowery aftertaste. Drink now to keep the varietal aromas. Enjoyed with some deliciously sweet and colorful tomatoes, buratta and basil.

4. Roter Traminer 2016 Niederösterreich

Color is pale, silvery. Nose is pronounced, aromatic with lots of peaches, citrus and some tropical melon notes. Intense and ripe, it seduces with its primary youth. Dry with off-dry feeling, it is rich, silky, with creamy mouthfeel. Alcohol is medium plus and integrated, the wine is fleshy, spicy with pungent ginger and cinnamon tones. Long, aromatic, the aftertaste lingers with rose petal notes. Can age for 3-4 years. Tasted around a mezze plate, can also pair well with sea bream ceviche, peaches and pomegranate grains.

Some herbal aromas of lemongrass mix up with flowery tones of honeysuckle giving an airy character to the olfactory panel that is completed as the wine breathes by citrus and pear notes. Citrus peel comes along, giving some punch to this fresh, joyous nose, primary but not strictly varietal for common Sauvignons. Palate is dry, the acidity is bright and crispy, and the medium plus alcohol brings layers of silkiness to the texture. Apple and flowers come on the palate with a touch of white pepper and citrus peel. Long, complex, intense can drink now or in 5-6 years. We paired it with half-smoked trout, zests and aromatic herbs.

6. Gemischter Satz Hintern Dorf 2016 Niederösterreich

7. Gemischter Satz Hintern Dorf 2015 Niederösterreich

Clear lemon-yellow color. Nose is delicate, discreet, still with an exotic touch of pineapple, the main aroma characteristic being peachy. Needs some air to express some zests, some spices. The palate is dry and rich, concentrated with lively acidity and feels generous, a hint spicy. The mouthfeel is creamy, the flavors seem more intense than the nose: golden apple, peach, citron fruit finishing with long, juicy and stony aftertaste. Use 40 cl glasses to let it open gently and drink it over the next 2-3 years.

8. Pinot Blanc/ Chardonnay O.T. 2015 Niederösterreich

Pale lemon color, greenish hues, bright and clear. Nose is intense, fresh and citrusy, with aromatic herbal notes of sage and thaï basil. Nectarine peach and pear come along, the whole being harmonious, quite complex, in a pungent, refreshing style. Palate is dry, silky, with a creamy mouthfeel. The acidity is medium, with citrusy feeling. Flavors are intense, peachy, and herbal, with lemon grass and sage notes. The finish is long and zesty, a bit spicy too. Enjoy now to take advantage of its primary freshness, interesting with crayfish soup.

9. O.T Pinot Blanc/Chardonnay Reserve 2015 Niederösterreich Yellow lemon color. Nose is clean and intense, of a ripe character. The primary fruit is deep reminding candied quince, tropical melon and some lychee. The oak maturing brings some creamy and smoky flavors that combine well with a flowery background reminding the acacia and also the acacia honey. Complex, ripe, rich and intense. The palate is large and creamy, of a medium acidity, with generous alcohol but still digest, offering layers of texture. The aromas are pronounced, ranging from sweet nectarine peach to candied citrus and orange peel, some exotic hues too, combining with the maturing influence: toasty, spicy and bringing some almond notes on the long and pungent finish. Noble bitter zests and amaretto linger on the after taste. Drink now or within the year to preserve the freshness and aromatic character. Flattering pairing for a veal tartar and fennel fondue.
