What Is This?

• The Clone Stamp tool selects and samples an area of your picture and then uses these pixels to paint over any other part of the picture.

Uses for the Clone Stamp tool include:

• Blemishes and imperfections in image.• Removing objects in an image from a pattern

of pixels.

How do I use this?

• Select the Clone Tool in Gimp.• Look over the options in the toolbar to the

left.• Hold down the “control” key and click on area

to select and copy.• Now click where you want that pattern to

paint over the image.

• The paintbrush option lets you choose the mode, opacity, brush, and scale.

• Mode – how the brush paints over the image.• Opacity – how transparent the brush paints.• Brush – choose what shape the brush is.• Scale – the size of the the brush
