Elizabeth "Lizzy" Powers - Senior Major: Theatre (Performance/Directing) Director (Bend and Break) Bend and Break is Lizzy's first time directing by herself and she could not be happier with the result! Normally seen onstage, this senior Theatre Arts major was last seen on Doudna's stage as Martha Brewster in Arsenic and Old Lace. She spent her summer directing at Iroquois Springs Summer Camp in New York. Lizzy is a member of Alpha Psi Omega. She would like to thank her wonderful cast, Jerry for this opportunity and constant advise, and Caitlin for being an awesome ADSM! Love to mom and dad Snotface "Will" LL and

Kristen Thompson - Senior Major: Theatre (Generalist) Director (The Good Doctor) Kristen has been involved in most shows while attending EIU either in costuming or set crew. She is a member of Alpha Psi Omega at EIU. She has been actively involved in productions with Centralia Cultural Society and was an intern/assistant in the production of High School Musical at Little Theatre on the Square this past spring. She received a full scholarship from Kaskaskia College and a scholarship from the Centralia Cultural Society. "Thank you to all my friends, family, and teachers who have helped me along the way. I love you all and thank you for all the advice and encouragement."

Caitlin Bieda - Sophomore Major: Theatre Arts (Performance) Assistant Director/Stage Manager (Bend and Break) Caitlin was last seen as Abby Brewster in the opening show of the Doudna Fine Arts Center, Arsenic and Old Lace. She has also been cast in several other productions while at EIU. She is a member of Alpha Psi Omega and Hello Dali lmprov Troupe. She would like to thank her mother and father for ALL of their constant love and support, her entire family for believing in her. She'd like to thank Lizzy Powers for asking her to be her ADSM and giving her chance.

Bridget Shanahan - Sophomore Major: Communication Disorders and Sciences/Theatre Arts Assistant Director/Stage Manager (The Good Doctor) This is Bridget's third production at Eastern Illinois as Stage Manager. She thanks her high school for teaching her about getting the most out of life. Most importantly, she wants to thank her mother, father, and sister, Meghan. She loves them very much. Her family knows theatre is what Bridget loves, and they have always supported her in her new adventures.

Dean James K. Johnson

James K. Johnson is the Dean of the College of Arts and Humanities at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois. As Dean, he represents over 1,800 undergraduate and graduate students, and some 240 faculty and staff members within the departments of Art, English, Foreign Language, History, Journalism, Music, Philosophy, Speech Communication, and Theatre Arts, as well as African-American Studies, Social Science Studies, Latin-American Studies, Medieval Studies, Film Studies, Women's Studies, The Center for International and Global Diversity, and the Tarble Arts Center.

Dean Johnson is the recipient of various honors and awards, including grants from the Ford Foundation and the Illinois Board of Higher Education. He also serves as a committee member for a variety of university and community advisory boards. Prior to becoming Dean in 1993, Jim Johnson served as chair of Eastern's Art Department for 14 years. Under his chairmanship, the Art Department received accreditation by the NationalDAssociation of Schools of Art and Design, the annual Summer Art Camp was established, and the Burllves Arts Studio Hall was built.

As an accomplished artist, Jim Johnson has completed over I 0 major outdoor sculptures. His work can be found in Illinois, Arkansas, Indiana, Kansas, and Missouri. He has participated in more than 60 regional and national juried and invitational exhibitions and he has served as an artist-in-residence at Anderson College in Anderson, Indiana and as a guest instructor at Texas Tech University. Prior to coming to Eastern, Jim Johnson was an associate professor at Arkansas State University. Mr. Johnson is a graduate of the University of Kansas and Emporia State University.

Rob Browy - Sophomore Major: Theatre Arts (Teacher Certification) Generai-Father-Kistinov (The Good Doctor) Rob is a sophomore and is very excited to be in the show. Rob has appeared in several EIU performances, the last as Lieutenant Rooney in Arsenic and Old Lace. He would like to thank his parents and his little brother and sister for being so supportive.

Tyler Benbow - Sophomore Major: Undeclared Rob (Bend and Break) Tyler is making his debut appearance on the EIU stage. We hope to see him in future shows.

Ashley Corbett - Senior Major: Theatre Arts (Performance)/Journalism Carol (Bend and Break) Ashley was last seen in the Children's Tour of Hyronomous A. Frog for EIU Theatre. She has also performed at the Charleston Alley Theatre (CAT). She'd like to thank her mom, her best friends Jolz & Liz in Chicago, and boyfriend Chris. Ashley is a member of Alpha Psi Omega.

Courtney Elliott - Sophomore Major: Undeclared Minor: Theatre Arts Lauren (Bend and Break) Courtney attended classes with Act One Studios in Chicago before coming to EIU. This is her first performance on the EIU stage. She'd like to thank her parents for all their love and the ladies of Tri-Delta for all their support.

Eric Dusanek - Senior Major- Family and Consumer Sciences- Fashion Merchandising Writer-Kuryatin-Voice (The Good Doctor) Eric is extremely grateful for being allowed the opportunity of performing at EIU, as this is his EIU debut. He'd like to thank his family and friends with a special thanks to: his sister, the Grace to his Will, his ELD, and Jack for never giving up on him. Eric is also an active member in Alpha Psi Omega.

Brian McElligott - Freshman Major: Theatre Arts/Philosophy Jack (Bend and Break) Born in a makeshift adobe hut in the remote deserts of Northern Arizona, Brian McElligott first received his calling to do theatre from a dream; in which the ghost of James Cagney urged him to get involved with his high school theatre department. The rest, as they say, is history. Brian made his debut appearance on EIU stage as Officer O 'Hara in Arsenic and Old Lace. He is affiliated with the university premier sketch comedy group, Lunchbox Voodoo. Brian would like to thank a very good friend, Brett Robertson, for whom none of this would have been possible.

Dijon Marshall- Sophomore Major: Theatre Arts Cberdyakov-Sexton-Boy (The Good Doctor) Dijon is making his debut appearance on the EIU stage, although he has been involved in several scenes with class projects. He is a bartender at Roc's in Charleston. He states be is "an energetic and motivated Sagittarius."

Phoebe McHenry - Senior Major: Theatre Arts (Performance)/Cornmunication Cherdyakovs' Wife-Girl-Assistant (The Good Doctor) Phoebe is a newcomer to the EIU stage although she has performed at Harper College in Private Lives. She'd like to thank her parents, friends, God, and her extended family for supporting her in her endeavors.

Katie Shaughnessy - Junior Major: Theatre Arts Generals' Wife-Girl-Woman (The Good Doctor) Katie's last performance was as the witch in The Frog Prince at The Village Theatre. She also was cast as Lady Capulet in Morain Valley's production of Romeo and Juliet. She is a member of Lunchbox Voodoo and on the Executive Board of Alpha Psi Omega. She'd like to thank her mom and grandmother for supporting her.
