Student Activities

Student Government Association (SGA), Program Board, Greek Life, and Student Organizations have a number of opportunities for students to get plugged in early in their first year.

The purpose of SGA is to positively affect Belmont University, to the best of our ability, by collaborating between students and administration, supporting student organizations, fostering character, and abiding by the Christian standards set forth by Belmont University. To get involved in SGA, check myBelmont to see when the first Congress meeting takes place.

SGA sponsors a unique opportunity for freshmen called the Executive Leadership Program (ELP). ELP strives to provide a Christ-centered, dynamic learning experience in which leadership skills are explored and developed to help equip Belmont Freshmen students for future service to Belmont and the surrounding community. Students will have the opportunity to network with campus administrators, current student leaders, and community professionals. Students can get applications for this program in September from the SGA office in the Beaman Center.

Program Board provides a great variety of activities for students to meet new students and introduce campus traditions to all new students. Program Board is a student centered organization dedicated to bringing the Belmont community together by offering diverse programs and events

that will entertain, educate, excite, and engage students. Check out the column to the right for dates of our events.

Belmont is home to four national sororities and four national fraternities. Sororities and fraternities will help you find your niche at Belmont, promote academic excellence and support, open doors for leadership opportunities, and encourage you to be active in student organizations and community service. The Fraternal community can help personalize your collegiate experience by providing you with the opportunity to serve your campus community and make lasting friendships. The deadline for registering for Sorority recruitment is September 3rd and the deadline for Fraternity recruitment is September 14th.
