DONALD “DT” TAYLOR, PhD

President, Cabrini University

The connections you makein a personal community like Cabrini’s are extremely special. Your professors, advisors, and mentors will know your name, and more importantly, know you! You’re more than a number at Cabrini.

Cabrini’s dedication to academic excellence, leadership development, and a commitment to social justice comes through our Education of the Heart and forms the foundation of our mission. Our ample support services combined with experiential learning opportunities help ensure each student’s academic success.

Students often tell me thatthey found their purpose and passion here, because learning doesn’t just happen in the classroom. I’ve had the honor of witnessing our students lobby in Washington, DC, repurpose the homes of flood victims in New Orleans, host their own radio show, and even bring home a National Championship title. Go, Cavaliers!

Every day, our students continue to show me and each other how to Live with Purpose. We invite you to join us, and find your fit here at Cabrini University.

Cabrini offers many experiences outside the classroom to broaden your knowledge, enhance your life, and open doors. Throughout your education at Cabrini, you will have opportunities to become the best version of yourself. You might study abroad in Ireland, participate in your first Division III

athletic competition, intern with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), serve as your class president through the Student Government Association, or volunteer with Campus Ministry, serving communities as close as Norristown or as far as New Orleans or even Guatemala.

DISCOVERING WHO YOU ARE DOESN’T JUST HAPPEN IN THE CLASSROOM.

NIYAHLE DELGADO (’24) Nursing Major

Philadelphia, PA

With my experience at Cabrini so far, I can already feel myself evolving. In my opinion, I believe it is because of the connections I have created with many of my professors as well as my peers.

You’ll be a part of a personal, inclusive community as a student at Cabrini. Our average class size of 15 students fosters a personal connection with our faculty and staff, who focus on ensuring student success.

Sophomore Niyahle Delgado (‘24) is a member of Cabrini’s first Nursing cohort. She was selected for a Maguire Nursing Scholarship because she represents the very spirit of the University as a leader who is constantly evolving on her journey to better herself and the world. As a Nursing major, Delgado is learning to serve the underserved through a humanistic approach to nursing.

A Cabrini education ensures that students graduate as engaged global citizens as they learn how to take action and make a difference in their communities. Lobby for change in Washington, DC, participate in a food recovery program to combat hunger and food insecurity, research proteins in plant models that

may one day contribute to an HIV vaccine, or build houses and safe stoves along with the Mayan people of Guatemala. Whatever you want to study, whether it’s Nursing or Education, Finance or Communication, you’ll apply new ideas, build skills, and get career-ready at Cabrini—and you’ll have fun doing it.

MARIA DOES. Growing up in Pakistan, Maria Khan (’21) did not expect to attend college. She came to the United States in seventh grade and didn’t speak English, but she would go on to become a Cabrini President’s List student and member of the Honors program and Biology Honors Society. Now, after making the most of Cabrini’s many research opportunities, Khan is ready for medical school and, ultimately, a career as a cardiologist.

HAVE A PASSION for DISCOVERY?When I started as a new student, I worked in the lab with my professor one-on-one, but I’ve learned so much and gained the confidence to work independently. That transformation happened because of the opportunities and supportive community at Cabrini.”MARIA KHAN (’21) Biology and Pre-Medicine Major

PURPOSE

Our learning communities are one of the many opportunities Cabrini provides to help you connect with other students and faculty who share your interests. Explore theme-based topics throughout the year in groups of up to 20 like-minded students, with the option to live on the same residence hall floor in a Living and Learning Community or become a part of a Learning Community without a shared residence. You can choose a theme such as academic and career exploration, leadership, or social justice. Your group will take classes together and engage in other activities on and off campus.

Ease your transition to college with our First-Year Experience program. Along with introducing you to Cabrini’s extensive academic resources, the program will help you find your niche in the community.

Cabrini cares about your happiness and the meaning you find during your college experience. Connect with yourself, with others, and with the world around you during activities, community events, and retreats. No matter what you’re involved in, Cabrini has resources and faculty to support you.

Project Workstream Manager, Vanguard

On-campus leadership opportunities helped me step out of my comfort zone and challenge myself. Internships gave me real-world, hands-on experience. But what makes me successful in my role every day is the ability to think critically, to challenge respectfully, to solve problems, and to bring people together to work toward a common goal. I owe all of those skills to my Cabrini experience.”

An internship with an insurance company’s legal and compliance team showed Mario Marino (’15) that he wanted to shift his career plans to a different area of business. A natural leader who served as Cabrini’s Student Government Association President and on the Academic Honesty Board, he landed a spot in Vanguard’s Accelerated Development program, where he had the opportunity to rotate through four unique business units before launching into a full-time position after graduation.

Fan Experience Coordinator, Philadelphia Flyers

By staying involved with many initiatives on campus throughout my time at Cabrini, I was able to understand how to work in various environments, learn how to utilize my skills to help the team, and grow as an emerging professional.”

Cabrini’s Business program and faculty prepared me for life after graduation and aided me in landing my first job. I was encouraged to attend career fairs, networking events, resume writing workshops, and I received thoughtful feedback. Cabrini helped me stand out and develop into the leader I am today.”Erin Kelly (’17) Accounting and Finance double major

Bushkill, PA

Jason Williams (‘15) found his passion for sports at a young age and has always loved being a part of something bigger than himself. While an undergraduate, he served as the team manager for the men’s basketball team, sports editor for the campus’s newspaper, The Loquitur, co-sports anchor for LOQation News, and so much more. The professional development skills that he learned during his time as a Communication major helped set him up for his current career in Philadelphia sports—having held positions with the 76ers, Eagles, and now the Flyers.

We take pride in offering merit scholarships based on high school academic performance, SAT/ACT scores (optional for most programs), and extracurricular activities, as well as need-based assistance depending on each family’s financial situation. Awarding financial aid is just one of the ways that we make sure that a Cabrini education is affordable! Dual enrollment classes are available for high school juniors and seniors to earn college credit. Also, currently enrolled Cabrini students can participate in a joint program to shave a year off of their studies while taking classes toward a graduate degree.

WE ARE TEST OPTIONAL! We review our applicants with a holistic approach— we believe it is the best way to identify students who will find the right fit at Cabrini. Your Admissions Counselor will consider your academic performance, your personal statement and any other information about your life experiences, as well as a possible interview with the Director of Admissions, when reviewing your application. You’re welcome to submit any test scores that you would like to be reviewed! Test scores are not required for Nursing majors but they are highly encouraged.
