DPS Employee Job Application Guide

These instructions show current Denver Public Schools employees how to apply for a new job at DPS.
Step 1. Open a browser such as Internet
Explorer 8.0/9.0 or Firefox and go to: https://employeeinfo.dpsk12.org
Step 2. Click the link for Employee and Manager Space
Step 3. Login to Global HR (GHR) using your DPS User Name and Password
Step 4. Click Employee
Employee Menu appears Step 5. Click Opportunities
A list of job postings appears.
Step 6. Double click on the desired job
The position description and posting information appears
Step 7. Click An application form appears
OR
Job is stored in your Job Cart for you to review later. You are now done with this process.
Step 8. Click View/Update
The employment history form appears
Step 9. Click Education on far left of screen The education form appears
Tip: Your computer must have Java installed. If you are using a district computer and do not have Java, please contact the DOTS Hotline at 720-423-3888.

Step 10. Click Create The Add My Education form appears.
Step 11. Click in the Education field and choose your highest level of education.
Step 12. Optional: Click to select the College or University you attended.
You’ll see a list of schools. The names begin with the 2-character state abbreviation (ex. CO for Colorado, AK for Alaska). Colorado schools will be listed first, then they are listed in alphabetical order, grouped by state.
Step 13. To find your school, type the two character state abbreviation where you school is located in the Description field and hit <Enter>.
You’ll see a list of colleges and universities in only the state you selected.
If list is longer than 1 page, use arrow buttons to scroll the list.
Step 14. If your school isn’t listed, enter the information in the Other Institution and Address Fields. You must select a country to select a state or province.
Step 15. Optional: Complete additional information on the form and/or add attachments such as transcripts
Step 16. Click then to continue. The education form appears
Step 17. Optional: Click Talent Profile
The qualifications forms appear
Step 18. Click Create to add any of your
qualifications The Add qualification screen appears.
Step 19. For each qualification you add to save the record, to continue.
The Add qualification screen appears.
Step 20. When you are done adding
qualifications, to continue. The application form appears.
Tip: You must add at least one Education record. If you don’t have any education, choose No HS Diploma.

Step 21. Check the box to update Work Preferences
You will update later in the application
Step 22. Click to continue The attach resume form appears.
Step 23. Click Attach to add a resume or
cover letter. The Add Attachment form appears.
Step 24. Select the Type of attachment Step 25. Click Browse to attach the file
Step 26. Click to continue The questions form appears.
Step 27. Respond to the questions and click to continue
Step 28. If you chose to update work
preferences, then you may now update your Work Preferences
Step 29. Click to continue
Step 30. You may review and print your application.
Step 31. Click and you are done
Step 32. You may check the status of your
application by choosing My Applications
Step 33. If offered the job, you will receive an email with instructions to accept it online.
