    WHATISTHEPURPOSEOFTHISFINANCIAL SERVICES GUIDE(FSG)?

    ThisFSGisdesignedtoprovideinformationaboutthe

    nancialservicesprovidedbyGuardianfpLimited

    trading as Guardian Financial Planning (Guardian

    Financial Planning ) and its authorised representatives.It aims to assist you in deciding whether to use any of

    theservicesweoerandincludesinformationabout

    our remuneration and how we deal with complaints.

    ThisFSGisonlycompletewhentheAdviserProle

    isaached.

    Ourroleistounderstandyournancialneedsand

    objectives,andtorecommendsolutionsthathelpyou

    satisfy those requirements.

    The process we will follow includes:

    1) Providing this FSGtoyouandagreeingonabasis

    for providing our services to you.

    Guardian Financial Planning is an Australian

    FinancialServicesLicensee(AFSL)licensedbythe

    Australian Securities and Investment Commission(ASIC).GuardianFinancialPlanningis responsible

    for the advice and conduct of your adviser. We are not

    responsibleforanyunauthorisedservices(tothefull

    extentpermiedbylaw)sochecktheservicesbeing

    providedareoutlinedintheAdviserProle.

    As an AFSL Guardian Financial Planning is licensed

    to provide advice and deal in the following classes

    ofnancialproductstoretailandwholesaleclients:

    1) Deposit and payment products limited to:

    basicdepositproducts;

    deposit products other than basic deposit

    products;

    2)Debentures,stocksorbondsissuedorproposedto

    beissuedbyagovernment;

    3) Life products including:

    investment life insurance products and

    liferiskinsuranceproducts

    aswellasanyproductsissuedbyaRegisteredLife

    InsuranceCompanythatarebackedbyoneormore

    ofitsstatutoryfunds;

    4) Interests in managed investment schemes including

    investordirectedportfolioservices;

    5)Securities;and

    6) Superannuation.

    Yes, advisers can only recommend investments and

    riskproductsontheGuardianFinancialPlanning

    Approved Product List (APL). A dedicated Investment

    ReviewCommieeundertakesathoroughproduct

    analysisbeforeincludinganynewinvestmentproducts

    ontheAPL.TheCommieeutilisesleadingindustry

    research houses to assist with this analysis. The APLis regularly reviewed to ensure that all fund managers

    and investment companies continue to meet Guardian

    FinancialPlanningsongoingrequirements.

    Superannuation Products

    Guardian Financial Planning has an APL for

    superannuationfunds.However,ifyouhaveanexisting

    superannuation fund that is not on the APL your adviser

    isstillabletomakerecommendationsinrelationtothat

    specicfund.

    INFORMATIONABOUTFEESANDOURREMUNERATION

    pofessionl Indemniy Insunce

    Guardian Financial Planning has professional

    indemnity insurance which covers us and our

    representativesforerrorsormistakesrelatingtoour

    services.

    This insurance meets the requirements of the

    Corporations Act and covers claims against our

    representativesaertheyceasetobeengagedbyus,

    providedthattheinsurerisnotiedoftheclaimwhen

    it arises and within the relevant policy period.

    TheremunerationreceivedbyGuardianFinancial

    Planninganditsauthorisedrepresentativescouldbein

    theformofUpfrontCommission,OngoingCommission

    or Fee for Service.

    Remunerationcouldbethroughpaymentof:

    Upfront Commission-paidbytheissuerofthe

    nancialproduct/srecommended,payablewhenthe

    product is issued to the client. This is included in the

    cost of the product for insurance. For investments and

    superannuationthiscostisgenerallytakenfromthe

    amount invested.

    Ongoing Commission-paidbytheissuerofthe

    financialproduct/srecommended,payableonan

    ongoingbasiswhiletheproductisstillinplace.Thisis

    included in the cost of the product for insurance. For

    investments and superannuation this cost is generally

    takenfromtheamountinvested.

    Adviser Service Fee-paidbytheissuerofthenancial

    product/srecommended,payableonanongoingbasis

    whiletheproductisstillinplace.ThisisNOTincluded

    in the cost of the product. A direct fee paid by you to usfor the services rendered

    (youradviserwilladviseyouofthefeebeforeproviding

    theservice).Thiscaneitherbechargedonanhourly

    basis,asetfeeperannumbasis,asapercentageoffunds

    invested,oracombinationofthesemethods.

    A combination ofbothcommissionandfeefor

    service.

    Thebasisandamountofallcommissionsandfeesfor

    servicewillbesetoutintheSOAandexplainedbyyour

    adviser.

    The explanation of the fees and charges of the product

    issuerwillbecontainedinthePDS.

    If you agree to the payment of a direct fee for the initial

    adviceand/orannualreviewservices,youradviserwill

    outlinethecostinwritingbeforeprovidingtheservice,

    provideyouwithaninvoiceandadviseyouintheSOA

    of the fees.

    Invesmens Commission

    The Upfront Commission we may receive with respect

    to investment products we recommend may varybetween0% and10% on the amount invested. For

    example on a $50,000 investment the commission

    wouldbebetween$0and$5,000.

    OngoingCommissionwereceivemayvarybetween

    0%and2%ofthevalueoftheinvestmentandis

    usually part of the cost of the product. For example on

    a$50,000investmenttheOngoingCommissionwould

    bebetween$0and$1,000.

    Adviser Service Fee is another form of ongoing

    commission for investments and is paid directly fromtheinvestmentsaccountbalancetous.Thiscanrange

    from0%to4.0%.Forexampleona$50,000investment

    theAdviserServicingFeewouldbebetween$0and

    $2,000.

    Life nd Disbiliy insunce

    For this type of product your adviser may receive

    paymentinoneof threeways-upfront,hybridor

    level.

    Upfront your adviser may receive commission up

    to140%oftherstyearspremiumand20%ongoing.

    For example, on an annual premium of $1,000 your

    adviser may receive up to $1,400 upfront and up to

    $200 each year ongoing.

    Hybrid your adviser may receive commission up to

    90%oftherstyearspremiumand40%ongoing.For

    example on an annual premium of $1,000 your adviser

    may receive up to $900 upfront and up to $400 each

    year ongoing.

    Level your adviser may receive commission up to

    40%oftherstyearspremiumand40%ongoing.For

    example on an annual premium of $1,000 your adviser

    may receive up to $400 upfront and up to $400 each

    year ongoing.

    Fromthecommissions/feesGuardianFinancial

    Planningreceive,itmaypassbetween96%and100%

    of these monies through to the adviser. For example,

    if$1,000incommissionisreceivedbyus.Guardian

    FinancialPlanningmaypassonbetween$960and

    $1,000 to the adviser. The actual Guardian Financial

    Planning/advisershareofthecommission/feeswillbe

    outlinedintheSOA.

    Our fnancial arrangements with

    oduc ovides

    Guardian Financial Planning has arrangements with

    investment/superannuationmanagersofcertainwrap

    platformsandmastertrustswherebytheypaya

    commissionbonusbasedonthetotalvolumeoffunds

    thatclientsofGuardianhaveinvested/placedthrough

    their platform or trust over a relevant agreed period

    (usually 12 months).

    The amount paid is calculated as a percentage of

    all funds invested for the relevant agreed period

    andispaidoutoftherelevantplatformproviders

    own administration fees. The arrangement does not

    further increase the administration fee or management

    expenseratio(MER)amountthatwouldotherwisebe

    chargedbytheinvestment/superannuationcompanyif

    this remuneration arrangement was not in place.

    Forexample,therelevantinvestment/superannuation

    companywill(subjecttotherelevantvolumelevel

    beingreached)payusuptoamaximumof30%ofthe

    administration fee. For example, if the administration

    feechargedbytheinvestmentcompanytoyouwere

    $100 they would pay Guardian Financial Planning upto an extra $30.

    Guardian Financial Planning currently has commission

    bonusarrangementswiththe followinginvestment/

    superannuation companies Asgard, ING, Asteron,

    Skandia,ColonialFirstState,Macquarie.

    Guardian Financial Planning may have arrangements

    with Life Insurance Companies where they pay a

    commissionbonusbasedonthetotalgrowthofin-

    force premiums over a relevant agreed period (usually

    12 months). The maximum that Guardian may receive

    fromanyofthesearrangementsis6.6%ofthegrowth

    of in-force premiums. For example, if the in-force

    premiumsgrewby$50,000overaspecied12month

    WHATISTHERANGEOF COMMISSIONPAYABLEONINVESTMENTORINSURANCEPRODUCTSGUARDIANFINANCIAL PLANNINGRECOMMEND?

    periodthenGuardianFinancialPlanningwouldbe

    entitledtoreceiveuptoanextra6.6%ofthis$50,000

    increase, which is $3,300.

    Guardian Financial Planning currently has

    arrangements with the following companies regarding

    Life Insurance Tower, ING and Asteron.

    Thecommissionbonusespaidbyinvestment/

    superannuation and life insurance companies are

    either

    Paid to Guardian Financial Planning which pools

    themanddistributesyearlytoparticipating

    advisersbasedonthenumberofyearsservice

    and/ortheamountof revenuegeneratedbythe

    adviser.Thisisknownastheadviserloyaltyand

    productionbonus.Ifyouradviserparticipatesin

    eithertheloyaltybonusand/orproductionbonus

    thewaythisiscalculatedwillbeoutlinedintheir

    AdviserProle.

    Paid to Guardian Financial Planning which passes

    them directly on to the adviser.

    Anybenetsprovidedbyproductproviderssuchas

    entertainment (e.g. lunches, sporting events etc.) or

    Professional Partner Sponsors at Guardian Financial

    Planning conferences and Professional Development

    daysreceivedbyGuardianFinancialPlanningor

    our Authorised Representatives are outlined in our

    Alternative Forms of Remuneration Register. This is

    in accordance with industry requirements as outlined

    in the Financial Planning Association Alternative

    RemunerationCodeofPractice.Ifyouwouldliketo
