By September we have spent ~75 % of the budget.

Estimated balance at the end of the year: ~20 kCHF.

The router order has been delayed and payment is

expected only in 2017 (~ 65 kCHF).

Issue with Neon shortage in 2015 resolved

The price has been lower than expected in 2016. Cost: 36 836 CHF for

150m3. It allows us to keep one complete fill in stock. The present leak

in the RICH is small (non-measurable over a period > 1month)

LKr maintenance

The calorimeter is >20 years old. Risk of increased maintenance and

replacement of components (e.g. High Voltage power supplies,

distribution, feed through, cryogenics, PLC, …)

Radiation (SEUs)

The situation has improved significantly with the shielding which was put

in place in 2015

Enhance remote and automatic resets for sensible equipment

Open Issues and Future


Budget Plans:

Establish Online Replacement Account (from the current

budget) to renew Online equipment.

We need to replace the PC farm by 2020: estimated cost for

full renewal: 250-300 kCHF

93 kCHF is transferred in 2016 to T145415.

Estimation: 50-100kCHF/year in 2017 and 2018.

We need to strengthen the resources for data preparation in

2017/2018.

Estimation: 50 kCHF in 2017 and 100 kCHF in 2018

Was introduced 2014 to cover the GTK detector

replacements. (target 25 GTK assemblies).


Status:

Pre-production is validated and all carrier boards have been produced

Cooling plate and detector production has been validated

Need 3 to 6 detectors/year due to radiation damage

Three stations are fully working and efficient (30/30 chips) since 15 September

Two additional detectors will be available by the end of the year

The assembly procedures for the detector production (20 pcs) has been established
