seeded fourth in the racerdquo

But seeding didnrsquot matter to the team of Gracie Goble MorganRobertson Chloe Abbott and Lindsay Walters The quartet went outand raced its best time of the season blazing across the finish line in35449 cutting six seconds off its previous best and earningsecond place and all-state status The finish which also set theNorthville school record ndash propelled the Mustangs to second placeoverall as they finished ahead of Rockford and East Kentwood failedto make the top eight

ldquoThe whole team was at the finish line to celebrate and I know it is amemory these girls will have for a lifetimerdquo Dalton said ldquoIt was a totalteam effort from top to bottom and I am very proud of this group ofstudent-athletesrdquo

Also turning in a second-place performance an all-state finish andsetting a school record was the 3200 relay team of Alison RobinsonLexa Barrott Erin Zimmer and Rachel Coleman with a time 90199

Coleman was the only Northville athlete to earn an individual state titleShe ran to a school record in the 1600 with a time of 44576 LexaBarrott was 12th in 50817 followed by Taleen Shahrigian in 16th in5142
