I want to speak to every single person who has ever felt a little insecure…to those of you like me who maybe have even spent your whole life wishing you were somebody else. Who wake up every morning thinking of all the things they could do differently and calling it self-evaluation when deep down you know it is self-rejection. Secretly you know that the reason you've never felt accepted by anyone else is because of the fact that you've never been able to accept yourself…falling in love with the people who let you know everything that's wrong with you because they're the only people you can agree with.

Maybe you've spent your whole life waiting for someone to look you in the eye and say you know what I like about you?I like that you think too much…you talk too much…you're too emotional….I like how sometimes you laugh too much and too loud until the room is silent and you've made a fool out of yourself…sometimes you let common sense escape you and you've never been one of the cool kids. You're not the richest or the brightest and you don't make the best tasting food or have the prettiest singing voice and I love you. Because you're broke but you're not broken, you've lost but you’re not a loser, and

you cry but that doesn't make you weak. You're not perfect but know for damn sure you're more than just good enough. I'm here today to tell you stop waiting. Stop waiting for someone else's approval. Look yourself in the mirror and say…you're beautiful and smart and funny and I'll take you just the way you are. You'll grow from your experiences and you'll learn from your mistakes but I'll never ask you to change. Because the person that you've become is exactly who you were meant to be.
