Cold Spring School Amendment

11 Modification to Grades Served: Rationale

Where Cold Spring 6th graders go for Middle SchoolSY 2019–20 SY 2018–19 SY 2017–18

Students left the IPS family 26% 27% 60%^Students attended another IPS K–8 program

18% 13% 18%

Students attended an IPS Choice middle school

42% 56% 21%

Students attended Arlington or Northwest

13% 5% 0%*

^In 2017–18, Enroll Indy was not yet operational and so this 60% represents a loss from the IPS LEA but not necessarily from the IPS family as a whole.*In 2017–18, Arlington was a 7–12 community high school and Northwest was not accepting 7th graders

Positive Enrollment Trends

• For 2 years in a row, Cold Spring has been the 4th or 5th most-filled Choice program.

• For SY 2019, only CFI 2, CFI 84, CFI 70 and Henry W. Longfellow were ahead of them.
