  • 1. FADE IN1. INT. THE WOODEN HUT- DAYGRACE is sitting cross legged in the wooden room with anexpressionless look on her face. She is brushing the hair ofa doll gently to begin with; she then begins to whisper theold lullaby Rockabye babyGRACErockabye baby, on a tree top, whenthe wind blows the cradle will rockFIRST OPENING CREDIT2. INT. THE WOODEN HUT- DAYTHE WIDOWER is writing a letter tothe MRS MCDONLAD (GRACES mother)explaining how she has GRACE and itdetails the conditions of gettingher daughter back within 24 hoursas long as these rules arefollowed.GRACEAs the bow breaks, the cradle willfall, and down will come babycradle and all.SECOND OPENING CREDIT3. INT. WOODEN HUT- DAYGRACE is getting very rough in her brushing her dolls hairand also begins the poem again with becoming much louder andfrustrated as she continues.GRACERockabye baby on a tree top, whenthe wind blows the cradle willrock, when the bow brakes thecradle will rock.4. INT. WOODEN HUT- DAYTHE WIDOWER is signing the letterwith W and closes the envelopeputting the addressors name on thefront GRACES MOTHER she beginsto hum the rockabye baby tune alongwith GRACES whispering.5. INT. WOODEN HUT- DAYGRACE ends the whispering aggressivelyGRACEWhen the bough breaks the cradle will fall (GRACE stands upwith the doll.) and down will come baby cradle and all.GRACE drops the doll leaving it smashed on the floor,

2. continuing her same expression. She walks over to the paperand pen in the corner of the room and sits back in the sameposition with the paper and begins to draw a family.6. EXT. WOODLAND- DAYTHE WIDOWER walks slowly along the pathway, clutching theletter in her hand while continuing to hum the tune.7. INT. WOODEN HUT- DAYGRACE is drawing the picture of her family in a hurry , whenshe finishes, she stands up and stares at the picture andsmiles a sinister smile and walks over to the wall, placingit on the wall in the middle of the 20 other identicalpictures.8. EXT. PATH WALK-DAYTHE WIDOWER walks along the pathway in the same manner asbefore continuing to hum the tune. THE WIDOWER walks up tothe house and places the letter on the floor by the door andgives three knocks at the door, walking away.INT. MRS MCDONLADS HOUSE-DAYMRS MCDONLAD walks towards the door in a hesitant fashion,then opens the door, looks around to find the letter on thefloor which she then picks up and slowly opens. She readsthe letter with a very anxious look on her face, when shefinishes she gasps, crunches the paper, looks around andslams the door.9. INT. WOODEN HUT- DAYTHE WIDOWER enters the hut while GRACE admires the pictureshe has just put on the wall. She put up her hand slowlygesturing to GRACE. GRACE stops smiling, returning to thesame expression as before and obeys THE WIDOWER and hold herhand. They walk out of the hut together.FADE OUT
