This study is going conducted for exploring the relationship between training and employeeperformance in higher education sector of Pakistan. This study will explore the relationship of
training on employee performance so by using this study they can solve the problems occurred
for teachers to whom have not been given trainings. And no study have been found on the “The
impact of training on employee performance”.

The main purpose and aim of this study is to exploring the relationship of training in the higher
education sector of Pakistan.

To explore the how can performance increase by training
To increase the work efficiency by training
To decrease the turnover rate of the employees
To increase the job satisfaction of the employees
To increase the motivation of employees
To explore teacher’s views on training that how they have need of training

Significance of the study
The study can be significant in many ways.
1. Firstly, the present study will help the organization to fulfill their need of
training. Furthermore the unique findings of the study may also help to increaseorganizational performance, motivate their employees, increase efficiency of
work, etc. it will also strengthen the topic that since majority of the research on
the topic. This study will help to access the needs of training to their employees.
Especially for the developing countries like Pakistan where the trainings are not
given to their employees in many organizations.
2. No research has been found on the training and employee performance which
have mediating variables like “POS” “Job satisfaction” and “Motivation” Thus
identifying those Training will leads to teachers performance would be a
significant benefit for the management of the organizational and similarities itwill enhance the quality of the organizations.
3. Exploring mix method which is not used in Pakistan before it.

For the first phase which is quantitative in nature following are the research questions
Training
1. My organization conduct training on regular basis
2. If I felt that I needed extra training, it is made available for me
3. Trainings increase my job relevant knowledge
Job satisfaction
1. I look forward to going to work on Monday morning
2. I am satisfied with the benefits offered to me through this job
3. I have energy at the end of each work day to attend to the people I care about
4. I have good friends at work
5. Work is a real plus in my life
6. I am satisfied with the wages I draw at present
Motivation
1. I work hard because I want to

Methodology
Paradigm
In this study both qualitative and quantitative data will collected so pragmatism
paradigm is used in this current study and mixed method approach have been adopted.
Methods
This research study has been conducted to explore the relationship between the
training and employee performance. Data will be collected through semi structured
interview and structured questionnaire. The time frame for the study is from January
2012 to March 2012.
The targeted population will be from different university’s teachers. And 40
questionnaires will be filled for quantitative data and 20 Teachers will be select for thequalitative data.
For data analysis SPSS and NVIVO software will be use.
Limitation and delimitation
Due to limited availability of resources, the study is limited to the population size of only Higher
education sector in Lahore,
