Everyone would like to welcome all our new neighbors to Mainlands Unit One.

    Sally & Joe Gellock 4450 95th Ave N

Welcome and please come join us for all the

upcoming activities and events we have to offer.

SOCIAL CLUB ACTIVITIES : Vincent Rumore – President

Due to COVID -19 restrictions, ALL activities and club meetings are suspended until further notice. Residents will be emailed once the clubhouse can be opened again, and normal activities can resume. Check the marquee by the clubhouse for additional information. WATER AEROBICS- Coordinators: Pat Mitchell and Sandy Friese Here it is – November!! We are still working hard to maintain our “figures”. Okay, so we are in the pool Monday through Friday at 9:30am (weather permitting). Please join us for some fun and lots of laughter. PET VAN- Coordinator: Dawn Haenlein The “Pet Van” comes to Mainlands on the THIRD Friday of each month from 9am - 11am at the Unit 1 parking lot. Upcoming dates are: Friday, November 20, and Friday, December 18. Masks are required, and once you’ve signed in and are given a number for your vehicle window, an aide will come and take your pet into the van. The Pet Van offers ongoing documented pet vaccinations and general wellness checks with NO “office visit” fee.

LIBRARY- Coordinator: Sharon VanWart The Library is open twenty-four hours a day with no time limits for returning books, etc., and, best of all, it is free!!! Many books, puzzles, magazines, and videos are available. Come by the clubhouse and see what your library has to offer. ZUMBA – On-Line Now is a good time to try ZUMBA in the privacy of your own home, for FREE! Linda Beaulieu, the Zumba Instructor, who has taught in the Mainlands for years, has free pre-recorded classes online that you can access Monday through Saturday. These can be accessed with a computer or a tablet with Internet, or a phone, or even with Internet TV. Because many of these classes are paid classes, in order to get them for free, a code is needed, and the codes change weekly. If interested, e-mail Linda at [email protected] to get the current week’s codes, how to access the class, and website information. She is available anytime by phone at 727-280-3300 if you need assistance. NEIGHBORS - Please contact us at [email protected] if you know of any of our neighbors who are sick, or otherwise might need some help or perhaps cheering up. We want to look out for each other in Unit 1, and help where we can. Even sending a card can let someone know we ALL care. We all need to continue to look out for each other. If you see any suspicious persons or activities, immediately CALL the POLICE non-emergency number at 727-369-7864 or call Corporal Gatti at 727-244-1715. Remember - LOCK IT OR LOSE IT! Don’t leave bikes and other items outside without being locked up. Your home and car should also be properly locked as well. You don’t want to become an easy target for vagrants, intruders, or thieves.

MEN’S CLUB: Paul Scheele - President

Hello everyone, The Men’s Club has been quiet for a few months now and it looks like it will remain that way for a while. We will get together as soon as possible, but it looks like some time in 2021 is what we are looking at. With that in mind, please stay safe and stay healthy. I miss our good times; lets hope they return soon.

WOMEN'S CLUB: Pat Mitchell – President

Holidays are almost here! Our hope is that everyone will find a way to enjoy them. I cannot wait for the day that all of us will be meeting face-to-face. Of course, there are those November Birthday ladies: Joan Blais (11th), Donna Crabtree (7th), Carol Hoover (29th), Annette Mitchell (2nd), Pat Ostrenga (1st), Patty Rizzo (18th) and Janet Woodard (23rd). A Happy Birthday to ALL of you!! Happy Thanksgiving! As part of Trash and Treasures on November 14th, we will have a bake sale. We will be set up in the swimming pool area. Want to donate baked goods? Call Carol Hoover and let her know!

TRASH & TREASURES Coordinators – Kay McAleer, Joan Blais Saturday, November 14th from 8AM -2PM. Yes, to all you who have been waiting to hear if this event will be happening this year. Due to COVID 19, this year’s event will have a new venue - your garage/driveway. It will be much easier for participants because you won’t have to cart all your TREASURES to the ClubHouse. You can set up right at home. The cost to participate in this event is only $5 per household. The cost will cover advertising, No Parking signs, Sale signs, and printing of maps with the participants homes marked off. If there is any money left over it will be donated to the Clubhouse. The Women’s Club will be having their usual tables outside the Clubhouse and a Bake Sale table. Masks are a requirement for you and all who come. Also, we must adhere to Garage & Estate Sale rules on page 9 in our Unit 1 Documents. Street signs will be put up the night before, on Friday the 13th. For reservations call: Kay McAleer 727 430-0069. Any questions about rules or setting up and such, call Joan Blais 727 217-0967. ESTHER STREET PROJECT Coordinator – Arlene Jeckel I would personally like to thank each one of you who took the time to donate to our October project, the Esther Street Project, in spite of the COVID 19 pandemic. I would also like to thank those of you who are not members of the Women's Club for your donations. That says a lot for our community. Thank you again for that! We collected quite a few bags of notions for them. We also donated over $300.00 in cash and checks to help defray the costs of the preparation of the Thanksgiving dinners for our nursing home residents.

I hear that they really look forward to this treat. Thank you so much for all you do! ** IMPORTANT UNIT 1 INFORMATION

Here’s a Realtor that uses the latest Technology and Marketing tools! Mainlands home sales are recovering. Sales are strong and increasing in value 12%/yr, which means they could possibly double in value in 6 years. To compare the relative expense of large or small homes we look at their $/sqft. The average listing price of 17 actives on Aug 1, 2020 was $168/sqft. Last year it was $130/sqft; 2 years ago it was $116/sqft. Those numbers give us a 12% increase/yr.

The average selling price was 3% less than the listing price Just ask him and he will show you what he can do for you!
