In the interest of child's it is essential for him/her to imbibe self-discipline. The teacher will take
adequate, corrective measures to ensure general discipline of the class under him/her. The teacher's
efforts will work only with adequate positive inputs from the parents.
1. Pupils should respect their teachers and their peers.
2. Pupils should respect the rights of others and should not disturb or interrupt the class.
3. Speaking in English is mandatory in the school premises and in the bus.
4. Good manners, good habits, obedience, punctuality are required to be observed at all times.
5. Silence is to be maintained while moving around the premises.
6. Pupils are not allowed to leave the school premises during school hours.
7. Pupils shall take special care of the school property. Any damage caused to the school property
by pupils shall be appropriately recovered from their parents/guardians and also a stern action
shall be initiated against the guilty.
1. All the pupils should be fully aware of personal hygiene.
2. Pupils should cut their nails regularly and keep them clean.
3. Pupils must wear neat, clean and prescribed school uniform with polished shoes.
4. Prescribed rainy footwear to be worn during the monsoon.
5. A clean and healthy environment will nurture a clean and healthy mind, so it is necessary to
keep the surroundings clean.
6. Pupils are not permitted to litter anywhere in the school premises.
New Horizon Public School and Penguin Kids was established in the year 2004
• The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Delhi.
• The medium of instruction is English.
• With the motto “Education to Excel” the school is determined to offer an all round quality

• The school implements a curriculum that empowers each student to develop his/her personality.
1. Regular attendance of the pupil is obligatory.
2. Attendance on the re-opening day is mandatary.
3. Pupils shall be in school five minutes before the first bell.
4. Late comers are liable to be sent home at parents own risk.
5. Newly admitted pupils are liable to lose their seats if they fail to report within a week from the day
of the commencement of the new session.

1. Attendance on the re-opening day and the last working day of the term is mandatory.
2. Leave of absence shall be granted only on prior written application from the parents.
3. Leave letters are to be addressed to the Principal and forwarded either through the
Grade Teacher or the school office.
4. Besides writing a leave letter, parents shall also maintain the leave record in the school
almanac.
5. In case of continued absence due to illness, a medical cer tificate will have to be
produced.
6. Pupils shall not attend school if they are suffering from any contagious disease. They will be
sent home if they report before the quarantine period is over.
7. Pupils, suffering from any contagious disease shall not resume school without a
doctor's medical fitness cer tificate.
8. Quarantine period for the following diseases would be
a. Chicken Pox : All lesions have crusted.
b. Measles : For 3 days after rash disappears.
c. Mumps : For 9 days after onset of swelling.
d. Jaundice : Till full recovery is duly cer tified by the physician.
9. No reassessment will be conducted if the pupil remains absent on the day of the
Examination
10. Prior permission will have to be sought for any long leave.
11. Attendance for all school functions is compulsory.
1. No early leave shall be granted to the pupils except in case of an emergency. In such cases
parents shall submit an application addressed to the Principal. No telephonic communication
from the parents/guardians shall be entertained in this regard.
2. Early leave will not be granted during the Examination.
3. It is mandatory to produce the parent pass while collecting the pupil from the school premises.
4. An authority letter needs to be produced in case the pupil is to be collected from the
school premises by a guardian/other.
1. Pupils shall come to school in complete and proper uniform.
2. Pupil shall wear House Uniform on the prescribed activity days and Scout & Guide Uniform on
prescribed days.
3. White canvas shoes should be worn on activity days.

Fancy articles such as chains, bracelets, watches, earnings are not allowed. Mehendi and
nail enamel are also not permitted

1. Withdrawal in the Mid Session: Those parents who would like to discontinue their ward’s studies from this school must apply on the prescribed School Leaving Application form given on page no 83 in the School Almanac with a clear one calendar month’s notice.2. Withdrawals at the end of the academic year: Those parents who wish to discontinue their ward’s studies from this school for the Academic year 2019-20 must apply for School Leaving Certificate before 31st January 2019 on the prescribed form given in the school almanac on page no 83. Those who apply after the due date are liable to pay the first installment of the school fees 2019-20.3. Parent shall clear all dues before applying for the School Leaving Certificate.

7. No request for the delivery of books, tiffin boxes etc will be entertained during the
school hours.
8. Any change in the given schedule of activities / programmes will be informed to the
parents in advance through a separate circular.
9. Parents must send money with their ward unless it is not required.
10. It is advisable to write to the school about the problems of your ward, to seek guidance.
11. Parents shall enter the names in the Entry Register at the security cabin while entering
school premises. It is mandatory to carry the parent pass, while coming to school.
