DAY 1 COLLEGE VISIT REMINDERS TO SHARE

• Confirm virtual advising time and access to Teams

• Make an advising “Plan”

• Is the student doing the appointment in RHUU or off-campus?

• Make sure devices are charged and have stable internet

• Reminders of Day 2 Virtual College Visit (if applicable)

• RHUU is home base of operations for Day 2

BB COLLABORATE

• Using 2020- Course Rooms

• All BB Collaborate Sessions will be created by end of this week

• “Enter” room through BB Collaborate “Courses” as a Moderator

• Access issues email Timothy

ADVISING APPOINTMENTS

• Via Microsoft Teams

• No shows: email Orientation@sc.edu

• ONSO will assign appointments: • 2 business days before Fall Freshman sessions

• 1 business day before Transfer/May sessions

• VZ always available to pull reports

• Please build the service type as “Orientation Advising”

• All availability for the Summer in EAB by June 1

FRESHMAN: SPECIAL POPULATIONS

• Opportunity Scholars Program

• Day 2: 9am-10am OSP Information Session

• Day 2: Advising appointment with OSP Advisor

• NEW: Day 2: 4pm Group Appointment with degree granting college

• South Carolina Honors College

• Before Orientation: Meet with SCHC Advisor

• During Orientation:

• 11am-12pm Honors College Information Session

• Day 2: Advising Appointment with degree granting college

• Capstone Scholars Program

• 11am - 12pm Capstone Scholars Information Session

• Via Zoom: Same link for all June/July sessions

• OL “Check-out”

• OLs will help with the course registration process

• After every advising appointment, “send” your student to the info desk

• If student is virtual- share link to info desk

• If student is in-person- connect them to an OL in RHUU

• Holds:

• Send to info desk and we will coordinate with the “RAC”

• Please send after advising appt and after advising hold is removed
