What is a Council Plan?

A council plan explains how Darebin Council will implement its Vision, Mission and goals by the end of the Council’s four year term.

What is the Darebin Council?

The Darebin City Council is comprised of nine elected Councillors. The Councillors represent the community and are its advocates.

Each year one of the Councillors is elected by the other Councillors to be the Mayor. The Mayor chairs Council meetings and is Darebin’s representative at civic, business and governmental meetings and events.

Councillors work closely with their officers to make important decisions about priorities.
