Joey is a student in a regular 1st grade education classOn one of his first reading assessment Joey scored a 2% with the average being a 58%The district benchmark wants every student to be able to read at 90% or betterAfter seeing his extremely low score we felt our efforts, and the help of assistive technology devices, could raise his reading proficiency

Diagnosed with dyslexiaFamily history of dyslexiaAs of April, Joey was reading below his grade levelScored below the first grade average in a spelling assessment
