On behalf of New Zealand Water Polo I have the honour and pleasure to invite you to the 2018 FINA Water Polo World League Inter-Continental Cup, to be held in Auckland, New Zealand from 3-8 April 2018.
The following information has been designed to assist your National Federation in its attendance to this event.

ENTRY PROCESS AND PROTOCOL IMPORTANT DATES TO NOTE Submission Preliminary Entries in GMS: 8 February 2018 Submission Sports Entries (Final Entries) in GMS: 8 March 2018 Submission of Accommodation Form to OC: 8 February 2018 Submission of Flight Details in GMS: 8 February 2018 Submission of VISA requests: 8 February 2018 Arrival in Auckland: 31 March and 1 April 2018 (earlier arrangements can be made) Technical Meeting: 2 April 2018 Competition: 3 – 8 April 2018 Departure from Auckland: 9 April 2018 REGISTRATION All National Federation’s registration and entries will take place online through the FINA General Management System (GMS). NFs must proceed with their registrations by accessing to the FINA GMS at Https://data.fina.org with the NF login details. Each National Federation have to complete their registrations before the designated deadline for the event. Support and assistance will be provided by the GMS Support Team via [email protected].

Each participating team has to bring a Referee with the Team. These officials also have to be registered by the National Federation via the FINA GMS. Each Official has to be on the FINA Water Polo Referees List 2018: http://fina.org/content/fina-officials-lists

* Team "NZL 2" will be competing in the tournament according to the above Draw, however their ranking in the final standing will not count for qualification for the FINA Water Polo World League - Super Final 2018. If applicable, the next ranked team will take their spot. TECHNICAL MEETING New Zealand Water Polo shall organise a Technical Meeting on Monday 2 April 2018 to be held at The Heritage Hotel in Auckland CBD at 6pm. The FINA TWPC Commission shall chair this meeting. FINA LUNCH Official invitations to Team Delegations, FINA Referees and FINA Delegates will be extended. This official breakfast will be held at the New Zealand Yacht Squadron on Thursday 5 April 2018 (exact time TBC).

TRAINING INFORMATION Pre Competition Training Dates: 1 and 2 April 2018, from approx. 8am – 9pm at the Competition Venue. Earlier Training Facilities can be arranged by contacting: Mr. Eelco Uri Organisation and Competition Director E: [email protected] T: +64 (0) 27 294 4044
Competition Training Dates: 3 – 8 April 2018; teams are allocated a one (1) hour training slot per day during the competition on the day teams have a game. On days where teams do not have a game, two (2) one (1) hour slots will be allocated. Once teams have no more games, no training slots will be allocated. TRAINING SCHEDULE TBC GAME SCHEDULE Competition Dates: 3– 8 April 2018 FINA Rules will apply with the Competition Schedule in accordance with BL 9.4.10.2 (BL 9.4.7.2.1) Women Preliminary Rounds – April 3, 4 and 5 Women QFs – April 6; Women SFs – April 7; Women Final Ranking Games – April 8 Men Preliminary Rounds – April 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7; Men Final Ranking Games – April 8 Quarter Finals (QF), Semi Finals (SF) and Final Ranking Games must be played to a conclusion; accordingly it may be necessary to apply FINA Water Polo rules relating to penalty shoot-out.

DOPING CONTROL: Doping Control will be conducted in accordance with the FINA Rules and by Drug Free Sport NZ, who are WADA Accredited. ATHLETE MEDICAL SERVICES These will be situated at the Competition Venue. EVENT INFORMATION DESKS These will be situated at the Competition Venue and at the Teams’ Hotel. Information Boards will also be placed at the Referees’ Hotel and the FINA Delegates’ Hotel. ACCREDITATION, ACCREDITATION DESK This will be situated at the Competition Venue. RULES The 2018 FINA Water Polo World League Inter-Continental Cup will be conducted under FINA rules. VISA INFORMATION Visiting participating countries might need a VISA to enter New Zealand. Information can be found through the following link: http://www.newzealand.com/int/visas-and-immigration New Zealand Water Polo will provide assistance where possible. TRANSPORTATION Airport transfers from and to Auckland International Airport will be provided by New Zealand Water Polo, as well as transport between official hotels and the competition and training venues.
