  • Abstract

One fundamental issue in todays Online Social Networks (OSNs) is to give users the ability to control the messages posted on their own private space to avoid that unwanted content is displayed.OSNs provide little support to this requirement. To fill the gap, we propose a system allowing OSN users to have a direct control on the messages posted on their walls. This is achieved through a flexible rule-based system that allows users to customize the filtering criteria to be applied to their walls using Blacklist Management.

  • EXISTING SYSTEM:

Indeed today OSNs provide very little support to prevent unwanted messages on user walls. For example, Facebook allows users to state who is allowed to insert messages in their walls (i.e., friends of friends, or defined groups of friends).

However, it is not possible to prevent undesired messages, no matter of the user who posts them.

  • Disadvantages

No content based preferences. No Detection of undesired words. No filtration of Messages.

  • PROPOSED SYSTEM

The aim of the present work is therefore to propose and experimentally evaluate an automated system, called Filtered Wall (FW), able to filter unwanted messages from OSN user walls.

We use the Blacklist management technique which consists of a database of unwanted words depending upon the user preferences.

  • Advantages:

A system to automatically filter unwanted messages from OSN user walls on the basis of both message content and the message creator relationships and characteristics. The current paper substantially extends for what concerns both the rule layer and the classification module.

  • MODULES:

    Registration & Login

    Posting on Wall

    Filtering Rules

    Blacklist Management

  • MODULE DESCRIPTION:

Registration & Login In this module an User have to register first, then only he/she has to access the Social network. If user gives correct username and password , will get login otherwise shows an error message.Posting on Wall In this module, User will be posting in the wall with their own message. If there is some undesired words in their message, the message will be discarded and it will not be posted on wall and it will get posted based on the users likes and dislikes. So that, every user will have control with their posts and messages.

  • MODULE DESCRIPTION:

Filtering Rules : In his module, the filtering is done based on the context based elimination. The initial database is filled with the normally occurring undesired languages. The user is also allowed to add the rules. So that whenever the post comes to users wall it will be filtered based on user dislikes and every user can have their own preference and will be control on their user wall.

  • Blacklist Management : In this module, Predefined unwanted words in the database will continuously monitored the message which is about to be posted by the user. Then it is allowed for the next process of storing and posting in the wall.

  • CONCLUSION:We have proposed a system to filter undesired messages from OSN walls. This filtering is done through the blacklist Management technique which consists of a database consisting of user-id and their blacklisted words to be filtered.
