Fill Point CabinetsStandard cabinets can be ‘Recessed’ or‘Surface’ mounted to customer requirements,recessed cabinets have a 50mm architrave.

A free standing frame is available for‘Standalone’ applications.

Cabinets are available in various wallthicknesses in both mild steel and stainlesssteel, both have fully welded construction.

Bespoke design service, cabinets available inalmost any size, material and colour.

Top hung door design with chrome/ stainless bullet hinges, support stay, flush fitting handlewith lock.

Standard cabinets are supplied with toughened glass vision panel, weather seal and lockingstrip as well as a mild steel drip tray.

Flexible manufacturing allows pipework and electrical service entries as well as equipmentsupport fixings to be formed or added to the cabinet during the manufacturing process.

Pre-wiring of incoming electrical supply, overfill alarms, gauging and door operated lightingis also available as an option, saving valuable site installation time.

FEL Fill Point Cabinets are designed and manufactured to a high standard.

Flexible manufacturing methods allow us to extend the usable life of the cabinets by removingthe need for costly on site modifications to create mechanical and electrical service entries intothe cabinet.

Pipe work and conduit entry holes are formed and equipment support bushes added duringmanufacture, prior to final painting.

Tank Overfill Alarm

Designed to provide an audible and visual alarm onhigh fuel level, with ‘Test’ and ‘Mute’ facility.

Constructed using IP 65 Rated GRP enclosures withan oil resistant membrane concealing lamps, pushbuttons and audible alarm.

Alarm panels require a 230V ac supply whilst providing a 12V dc control circuit to adedicated tank mounted float switch configured with a ‘make on rise’ switch.

All Tank Alarm options have integral volt free changeover contacts rated at5 amps 230V ac which provide remote signalling in the event of alarm.

The range covers Single, Twin or Three Tank Alarm Panels, together with a High/Low optionand a combined ‘Tank & Bund’ high level alarm.

Full range of Float Switches available.

In operation, prior to the commencement of fuel delivery, the ‘Test’ button should bedepressed to ensure that both the audible and visual alarms are in working orderprior to the commencement of the fuel delivery.

The alarm panels emit an audible alarm on sensing a high fuel level, a red warninglamp will also illuminate. By pressing the ‘Mute’ button, the audible alarm will besilenced, the red warning lamp will remain illuminated whilst the fuel level remains athigh level.

Dimensions are: 172mm wide x 130mm high x 76mm deep.Fixing centres are: 4 off 4.2mm diam. holes, 163mm wide x 113mm high.

Float SwitchesFloat Switches are available in the following styles:

As single switches for ‘High’ fuel level indication as shown above,working in conjunction with

the FEL Valves range of Tank Overfill Alarms whereby anaudible and visual alarm is generatedby detection of a high fuel level within a tank using astandard make on rise float switchassembly. Also shown above is a ‘Bund’ float switch withflexible lead, Ref 20-274.

Twin float switches, can provide ‘High’ and ‘Low’ switch points forindirect pump start/pump stop

applications or to provide pre-set alarm indications,perhaps for overfilling and fuel reorderpoints.

Four float assemblies usually provide a combination of alarm and pump start/pump stopfunctions, whereby the lower and upper floats give Low Low and High High indication.

Customers may choose between ‘Make on Rise’ or ‘Make on Fall’ switch orientation togetherwith the switch point dimensions taken from the top of the tank into which the float switches areto be installed.

FEL Float switches are manufactured to a robust design, using stainless steel stem, floats andfloat stops and a brass process connector with 1” BSPP male thread. The terminal housing is ofcast aluminium to IP67, whilst the internal switches have a standard rating of 1.0amp 230V ac.

The maximum switch depth is 3000mm.

Customers should also specify where float switches are to be used on inductive loads, as backEMF protection may be required.

FEL float switches can be made suit individual customer requirements for switch rating,orientation, switch depth and materials of construction, please enquire for further information.

Digi-Level Contents Gauge &Overfill Alarm 20-783

Digital readout of contents, programmable in litres,gallons or US gallons.

Programmable for individual rectangular or cylindricaltanks, with accuracy to +/- 0.5%

Available for 230V ac or 24V dc power input. Provides 24V dc excitation voltage for 4-20mAsignal.

The digital controller can provide up to four, 2 amp 230V ac volt free relay set points whichcan be individually set to energise or de-energise on a rising or falling edge alarm.

4-20mA or 0-10V Retransmission for remote contents reading.

MODbus RTU output connectivity option.

The digital controller can be used with a wide range of tank mounted sensors which includepressure sensing, capacitance or ultrasonic types. The sensors can be active or non active forcurrent loop mA generation. Please see separate data sheet.

Can be used in conjunction with the FEL Valves overfill alarm PCB. This configuration utilisesone of the digital controller alarm set points to operate the high fuel level alarm and can doaway with the need for a tank mounted float switch, although the overfill alarm may still beused with a float switch if required.

Standard IP65 ABS enclosure with 20 amp 2 pole isolator can house a digitalcontroller as well as overfill and bund alarms.

Dimensions are 188mm wide x 278mm high x 180mm deep.For the combined Controller and overfill alarm, all connections are pre-wired andterminated within the enclosure, leaving only the final field connections to be made.

The FEL Digital Contents Gauge System utilises a 2 wirestainless steel immersion sensor which generates a 4-20mA signal. The sensor diameter is 30mm allowing acomfortable fit through a 1” tank connection. Standardsensors come with 5m of attached PUR cable, althoughlengths up to 20m can be specified.

Digilevel andoverfill alarm enclosures are supplied ‘fitted’ to our FillCabinets, with conduit entries and fixing supports formedduring manufacture reducing site installation to a minimum.

Programmingand pre-commissioning are standard features.

Hydrostatic Gauge EquipmentAvailable as ‘Mechanical’ or ‘Electro/Mechanical’ systems,Hydrostatic gauge Systems provide a constant read out of tankcontents, using internal or external pressure sensors and arange of gauge heads, covering sizes from 100, 160 and 250mmin diameter.

Our range of hydrostatic gauges also includes pressuretransducers and electronic gauges, as well as current loopamplifiers and direct, hydrostatic switching modules.

In operation, the standard hydrostatic gauge is mechanically powered from an internal or externallytank mounted pressure sensor, whereby, the head of liquid within the tank pressurises a metaldiaphragm within the sensor. In turn, the sensor diaphragm exerts a pressure which is used by thegauge head to indicate tank contents. This pressure is transferred from the tank mountedsensor/diaphragm assembly to the gauge head via a copper capillary which is sheathed in a terylenereinforced PVC tube.

The mechanically driven pressure signal, generated by the tank sensor can also beused to provide a 4 to 20mA analogue signal, via a pressure transducer and forminga current loop.

In turn, this proportional signal may then be used to create switching points using acurrent loop amplifier as well as to provide an analogue readout using an electronicgauge head. The 4-20mA analogue signal makes the FEL gauge system ideal foruse in conjunction with a building management system.

Gauge head construction is in stainless steel, for both mechanical and electricallydriven systems, whilst tank sensors have a ¾” process connection and are usuallymanufactured from mild steel, with an electron beam welded stainless steeldiaphragm.

Interconnecting capillary is available to a maximum length of 50m and retransmissionof the 4-20mA signal extends the logistical usage to more than 1000m.
